Who Did Nick Fury Call at the End of Secret Invasion Episode 5?
There are many assumptions about this particular climax scene on the internet, with fans coming up with their ideas about the end. However, many viewers of the series would agree with us on this when we say the most probable recipient of Nick Fury’s call was Gravik.
After Talos’s tragic death last episode that left many fans upset, the latest episode of the series made Gravik come across as a much bigger villain. As monstrous as he may sound, Gravik’s intentions are not just restricted to destroying Fury alone but also to take down the entirety of Skrulls, as he is hardly looking out for them.
You don’t have to be a vigilante to know what’s cooking inside Gravik’s head- he’s risked it all by asking for the ‘harvest’ from Fury, for once it seems like Graviks sole purpose is to initiate a world war 3 by instigating a war between the Skrullos and Americans. It’s a bit concerning, especially since they’ve already set up a conflict between Russia and America. What Gravik wants is simple- to put America in a position to start a new world war and end the Skrullos.
For this to happen, Gravik desires to become the most inevitable being in the universe. With the harvest from Fury, Gravik will not only be successful in making Skrulls more powerful but also evolve himself as the undefeatable being of the galaxy. This only makes sense why Gravik wants the ‘harvest’ badly.
Who Fury calls at the end of the fifth episode will be only evident after the release of the following and final episode. However, the stakes are high that it was none other than Gravik, as Fury will not only be passing on the ‘harvest’ vial to him but also draw a conclusion to his fight with Gravik, with him saying on the call, “It’s time. Let’s finish this.”. Don’t worry; Fury has a master plan for this!
What Is in the ‘Harvest’ Vial?
If you haven’t noticed already, there is something fascinating about Fury and the Avengers in the fifth episode, which is rightly named ‘Harvest.’ In Avengers: Endgame, Fury sent some masked Skrull agents to collect samples of the blood the heroes shed during the Battle of Earth.
The vial would contain the blood of some of our favorite heroes like Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Spider-Man, and more!
Instead of getting rid of their blood, Fury chose to store it rather. Maybe he did this as a backup plan in case they needed new heroes. It could make for a cool “What If” story where a unique team of heroes has to be created after Kang eliminates the Avengers.
