Colby Richards was reported missing after being last seen on May 26 and has never returned since.
The father of two was seen leaving his house around 5:30-6 in the morning. He was wearing a T-shirt, black shorts, and gray under-armor shoes. This is not an abnormal timing for him since he always leaves for work at these early hours.
Colby’s wife, Callie Richards, uploaded a Facebook post asking for any help possible–
“My husband Colby Richards went missing this morning. He walked into the woods behind our house and didn’t come back.”
“Search and rescue have been out looking for him the greater part of the day.”
“We need help locating him or any information regarding his whereabouts.”
“We are so thankful for all the love and support and are OVERWHELMED with calls and texts.”
Support started pouring in for Colby, but at the same time, negative comments and misinformation were hovering under the post. Hence, Callie shut off the comments section–
“Update: I’m shutting off commenting due to misinformation and insensitive commenting. If you have and information regarding his whereabouts, please contact MOCO non emergency line 936-760-5800 option 3, case# 23A151879.”
Where Was Colby Richards Last Seen?
The Richards family lives in the Musgrove Place neighborhood of Spring, Texas. Colby has a fixed schedule of going to work at around 6:30 a.m. However, in an unusual behavior, he left through the back gate of the house where he was last seen. Callie noticed this and instantly felt a sense of discomfort. She called 911 right away to report him missing.
She also mentioned that he has Colby has no medical history of previously diagnosed mental illnesses. Nor did he ever leave without informing anyone.
So far, the police have only found his YETI tumbler on the side of the road. Other than this, there have been no significant advancements in the case. Since it has been more than four days now, the officials are fully charging on the hunt, considering he might get dehydrated or lose consciousness in the Woodlands.
Hospitals are also contacted to verify if he has been admitted since. Not much information is presented as of yet.
More than fifty volunteers and Gulf Coast Search & Rescuers have started the operation for Colby, searching every nook of the perimeter. There have been no crucial hints still. Police have also begun their investigation, apart from the search mission, to get to the bottom of his missing.
Callie Richards sent a message to Colby through Fox News, where she urges him just to return home. And assures him whatever may be the issue, she wants him to return home, and everything will go back to normal.
