My Happy Marriage Plot
Miyo Saimori, born without talent into a noble family known for their supernatural prowess, is compelled by her abusive stepmother to live a life of servitude. She is seen as nearly useless because she did not acquire the superhuman abilities of the lineages into which she was born. She spends her days alone and unloved.
Miyo must endure being treated like a servant by her half-sister, who, in contrast to Miyo, is endowed with the extraordinary talents of their blood. At the same time, her stepmother and very own father have no patience or love for her.
When Miyo reaches marriageable age, however, her expectations of being whisked away to a better life are dashed when she learns that her fiancé is Kiyoka Kudou, a commander who is said to be so harsh and cruel that all of his other would-be brides left their engagements within three days.
Miyo is sent off to the Kudo house as a bridal prospect for the family’s heir, Kiyoka Kudo, after being determined to be nothing more than a bother and a drain on the family’s fortune.
Without a place to go back to, Miyo accepts her fate. However, she soon learns that her pale and attractive future husband is anything but the monster she had anticipated. As they steadily expose their emotions to one another, both realize the other may be their shot at finding genuine love and happiness.
There are many rumors about the Kudo clan, the most influential family in the country, but will the rumors about the reportedly brutal and frigid home Miyo wants to marry into be true?
