The entire world is currently mourning the death of Matthew Perry, the star of one of the world’s most popular sitcoms, Friends.

While the actor has been battling addiction for years, it has recently surfaced through his book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, but he sadly passed away, drowning in his hot tub.

So, where has Matthew Perry lived in recent years? The Friends actor had been living in Los Angeles, where he bought a luxurious residence in Pacific Palisades in August 2020 for $6 million.

Matthew Perry, the popular actor and comedian best known for his role as Chandler Bing in Friends, recently passed away in his Los Angeles residence.

Perry had lived there since August 2020, when he bought the place for six million dollars after placing his LA penthouse and Malibu beach home for sale for $27 million and $14.5 million, respectively.

His luxurious home, which sheltered him for the past three years, is more of a cottage, which, according to the listing on Trulia and Realtor, is located at 18038 Blue Sail Dr., and it is smaller and relatively cheap compared to his two houses.

The luxurious house of Perry was built in 1965, but after passing through several owners, it was renovated with modern aesthetics in 2018, two years before the actor purchased it.

The house is estimated to be nearly 2700 square feet or 0.39 acres, with four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Furthermore, it is ideally placed in an oceanic view of Catalina Island, which Perry used to post quite often on his Instagram account.

The home also has a parking garage, an outdoor pool, as well as an outdoor deck and porch. In addition, the residence boasts a beautiful fire pit along the coast’s direction, which was also seen on Perry’s Instagram stories.

According to Trulia, where the home was listed for sale before, the house is described to be of contemporary beauty that was painstakingly remade to fit modern people’s needs. Here’s more insight:

“Artfully recreated and painstakingly modernized, this sprawling Mid-Century Modern styled getaway boasts state-of-the-art architectural elements, a kitchen with the highest quality appointments, two well-appointed masters’ suites, along with some of the most inspiring panoramic vistas around. This hip offering is truly an oasis of beauty, refinement, and peace.”

While the home may have been special for Matthew Perry or something where he spent his final days lonely, it was beautiful, worthy of someone who has worked hard for his career or gone through so many hardships of addiction.

Matthew Perry died alone in his beautiful house. For much of his life, he was blighted by addiction and sadness. It goes to show you could have all the money in the world and it doesn't matter a damn. A dark cloud looms as I remember the man who made me laugh for most of my life. pic.twitter.com/nLyWf4KNfI

His Los Angeles residence is currently estimated at 6.8 million dollars on Trulia, but it is off the market as Matthew Perry owns it. Unfortunately, the actor passed away in this beautiful home on October 28, 2023.

According to sources, the actor had come home after a pickleball session before sending his assistant out on some work. However, before he came back, Perry was found drowned in his hot tub.

So, how did you take the passing of Matthew Perry? Was he your favorite actor on Friends?
