There’s a significant award ceremony for the music industry happening in South Korea soon, and every fan of every genre, especially K-pop, is excited.
The vMnet Asian Music Awards or MAMA Awards 2023 will be here soon. But information on the upcoming event is hard to find. Fans are wondering which of their fave celebs will attend.

The MAMA Awards 2023 will be held on November 28, 2023, and November 29, 2023, at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. It will begin at 6 pm KST, with the red carpet at 4 pm KST. The function will be broadcast on Mnet and the tvN SHOW in South Korea. It will also be live streamed on TVING. There will be performances from ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ZEROBASEONE, Kep1er, SEVENTEEN, BOYNEXTDOOR, etc.
Where To Watch The MAMA Awards?
The 2023 MAMA awards show will be broadcast on Mnet as well as the tvN SHOW in South Korea. It will be live streamed on TVING.
The awaited awards ceremony will also be live-streamed on the YouTube channels of KCON Official, Mnet TV, Mnet K-POP, and M2.
In Japan, you will be able to watch on Mnet Smart+, au Smart Pass, and Mnet Japan. While in Singapore, the awards function can be viewed on two platforms- meWATCH and tvN Asia.
If you are in Vietnam, use FPT PLAY to watch the show. But if you are trying to watch from countries like Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Maldives, Myanmar, or Indonesia, use tvN Asia.
When Are The MAMA Awards Happening?
The vMnet Asian Music Awards or MAMA awards this year will be held on November 28 and 29, 2023, at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. It will begin at 6 pm KST (Korean Standard Time). The red carpet will be rolled out at 4 pm KST.
It will be hosted by K-pop rapper and soloist Jeon Somin on November 28, while singer-and-actor Park Bo-gum will host on November 29.
The Tokyo Dome can accommodate 55,000 people, so the atmosphere is expected to be vibrant during the performances.
Which Celebrities Are Attending The MAMA Awards?
There will be performances at the 2023 MAMA Awards from JUST B, BOYNEXTDOOR, Lee Young Ji, &TEAM, ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, INI, and SEVENTEEN.
Also performing are Street Woman Fighter2, LE SSERAFIM, Dynamicduo, TVXQ!, JOI, xikers, ZEROBASEONE, Kep1er, and Yoshiki, the Japanese musician and songwriter.
TREASURE, G(I)-DLE, RIIZE, and EL7Z UP will also perform along with NiziU and Monika.
There will be four stages of the event- Super, Theme, Wonder, and Mega. The dancers and singers will showcase their talents during these events.
What Are The MAMA Awards?
The MAMA Awards began in 1999 and are for musicians who have contributed exceptionally to the Asian and K-pop music scene. Over the past 24 years, the awards have been hosted by various Asian cities like Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macao, etc.
This year, the ceremony will be hosted by entertainment company CJ ENM. Only the music released between October 22, 2022, and September 2023 has been selected as an acceptable submission. There will be 20 categories.
Out of these, 4 are the most significant- song, artist, and album of the year, along with worldwide fans’ choice. The winners will be chosen in the last one according to global fan votes.
Some awards have already been given, like the Worldwide Icon of the Year award, which BTS won. RIIZE and ZEROBASEONE were named the Favorite New Artist.
Also, TVXQ! won the Inspiring Achievement award, while TREASURE took home the Galaxy Neo Flip Artist trophy. On the other hand, Kep1er was crowned the Favourite Asian Girl Group.
