The growing Canadian wildfires are affecting people across borders. This is because the plume of smoke now stretches thousands of miles.

Every year, the Canadian wildfire season begins around the same time. Seasonal activity begins in May and continues through October. To everyone’s surprise, this year’s fire and smoke broke a 30-year record. The blazing flashes have spread across Canada and forced people to evacuate.

As per the tabloids, there are currently 400 wildfires in Canada. In the Canadian province, it has spread everywhere except Nunavut and Prince Edward Island. If measured in hectares, the Blazers have covered over 4.4m hectares, which were originally 2.7 m at the beginning of the season.

Why Do Canadians Have a Fire Season?

Unlike the seasons that the rest of the world knows and experiences, Canada goes through a unique season named Fire Season. The reason behind the name is the blazing wildfire that takes over the country every year.

So how does the fire start? When Canada experiences summer, many regions face heavy lightning. This causes a fire that escalates fast enough to create difficulty for wildlife and humans.
