Valorant players put down their guns as the servers went down on 30th May 2023.
The fast-paced FPS video game, Valorant is a team-based first-person tactical hero-shooter. The players get to play as one of the characters.
The game was developed by Riot Games, who also produced one of the widely-known games, League Of Legends.
Valorant also tapped into ESports with their first tournament called “First-Strike.” In 2020, Riot Games announced an official tournament, Valorant Champions Tour, with year-long competitions on three levels:
- Qualifiers for masters on the regional level– Valorant Challengers
- Mid-Season International Competitions, throughout many stages– Valorant Masters
- The world championship of the year– Valorant Champions
Needless to say, Valorant has a huge global fanbase, albeit one of the most toxic fandoms. Players all over the world wire in every day in either attacking or defending teams for a brutal battle in Valorant. But yesterday, the Val servers went down, with players anticipating when it will be back up.

As per their previous outages, Valorant Servers have not been down for more than an hour or, at the max, three hours. This usually happens before the new act’s release, when developers get time to maintain, update, and fix the bugs in the game.
There has been no credible update so far from Riot Games. However, we can expect the servers to be back at these estimated times:
- Brazil Federal district – 9 pm
- Europe- 2 am CEST
- North America– 8 pm PST
- Latin America- Peru– 7 pm
- India– 5:30 am IST

How Do I Change My Valorant Region?
Riot Games allow you to set your region initially while resting your account on Microsoft. After that, your account is now region-locked based on your IP address. Simply put: you cannot directly change your Valorant region. This also restricts other Valorant servers since only the Valorant Servers allotted to your specific area are accessible.
However, you can always use Virtual Private Network, which replaces your actual IP address to make it look like you are connected to the internet via a different location. Here is an easy guide to set up another region on your account–
- Get any VPN
- Connect to a server in any other region
- Create a new Valorant account and set your region to that location.
- Download Valorant to your device.
- Now open the game and play on the server you want, no matter where you are.
Where Are the Valorant Servers Located?
For US gamers, currently, the Valorant servers are located in these regions:
- US West (Oregon, North California)
- US East (North Virginia)
- US Central (Texas, Illinois, Georgia)
- Santiago
