The Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and democracy, stands tall and proud in New York Harbor. The statue symbolizes a story of the USA and its immense influence and global significance.

America is known for its economic prowess in the world, but claiming there are no loopholes would not be a fair assessment. Recently, the nation was in a palisade for its issue on the “Liberty Safe.”

The Safe seems to appear often in the news these days, while many wonder, “Who is the real owner of Liberty Safe: Public or State”.

Liberty Safe faced a lot of backlash from the general public for giving access to a customer’s safe to the FBI. The company finally broke their silence by posting a statement on September 6, 2023. They reported that on August 30, 2023, the FBI asked them to provide access to a search warrant against the customer. The account was linked to the 34-year-old Nathan Hughes of Arkansas.

The Liberty Safe has become a symbol of trust and protection for countless families in the U.S. Liberty Safe and Security Products, Inc. is a commercial and residential safe manufacturer. The company is located in Payson, Utah, United States. It was founded in 1988 by Jay Crosby when it was a single storage unit.

Over 30 years, the company has grown into a 205,000-square-foot facility. In 2018, the company has sold over 2 million safes in these 30 years.

The Liberty Safe markets for gun safes, home safes, and commercial safes (including depository safes). These safes have become synonymous with the highest standards of security, quality, and reliability. Liberty Safes come in various sizes and styles, catering to the unique needs of each customer. The company also operates under names including ‘National Security,’ ‘Fatboy,’ and ‘Colt Brands.

The safe conducts its fire testing based on the rules proposed by the U.S. Department of Commerce National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The Liberty Safe got its recognition from the White House in July 2018.

The company also got an invitation to the “Made in America” event from the White House. The Safe also deals with countries including Belgium, Canada, Great Britain, Iceland, Kazakhstan, and Norway.

NEW: America’s top gun safe manufacturer, Liberty Safe, gave the FBI an access code to a safe owned by someone who was present at the J6 protest.

We have officially found the Bud Light of gun safes. Enjoy going out of business, @libertysafeinc.

High probability that most companies would do the same thing.

What's the point in buying a safe if the people who sell you the safe can give other people the code to the safe?

— Craig Chamberlin (@CraigChamberlin) September 6, 2023

On August 30, 2023, something controversial happened with Liberty Safe. The news surrounding the controversy upset the people of the nation. People even expressed their concerns on social media platforms. Why? Well, it turns out that Liberty Safe gave special codes to the FBI. Apparently, the FBI asked the company to provide access to the safe of 34-year-old Nathan Hughes of Arkansas.

After this new outburst, people started concerning the safety and security of the clients. Hence, seeing the pressure, the company finally took their stance on the topic. They mentioned that they did this only when the FBI had proper permission (something called “warrants”) to search the property of the person. It was also revealed that this person was linked to the attacks that happened on January 6 at the United States Capitol.

The Liberty Safe further tried to explain their actions to society. They said they didn’t know all the details about what the FBI was looking for when they gave them the codes. But it seems like the explanation was not enough because the customers and people who support the right to own guns didn’t like this one bit.

People are now worried and angry at the same time, as it looks like Liberty Safe appears defenseless in allowing the police access to their safes.

High probability that most companies would do the same thing.

Bad PR for them.

A bit misleading name “Liberty”.

I’m sure a good portion of their sales come from the demographic that take pride in having “liberty”

Not a good look. Were they legally obligated to do this? I’ve seen companies like Apple deny these types of requests…

— ClearVoteInsights (@ClearVoteIn) September 6, 2023

Kinda wild that @Apple will take the FBI to court to protect its customers privacy, but @libertysafeinc will roll over and give the FBI your combination bc they asked nicely.
