Heidi Montag, the reality star who rose to popularity in the late 2000s, succumbed to the pressures of the spotlight and took an extreme step toward transformation.
Sometime in 2009, Heidi Montag flashed on all news tabloids for having ten cosmetic procedures done in one day. Then, the 23-year-old reality star from The Hills underwent plastic surgery with Dr. Frank Ryan for breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, liposuction, chin reduction, brow lift, facial fat injections, and a procedure for ears pinning her ears back, among several others.
What Surgery Did Heidi Montag Have?
Heidi Montag starred in the hit reality show The Hills that premieered in 2006. She quickly became a fan favorite for her outgoing, wild, outspoken, and rambunctious personality, and she wasn’t afraid to call a spade a spade.
But as the trajectory of a reality star goes, the incessant glare of publicity can compel a person to feel conscious of how they carry themselves.
One such tragic downward spiral was the ‘Madonna of MySpace’ Tila tequila. Over 90% of the reality stars fade into obscurity.
To remain relevant, one must keep reinventing oneself. Montag felt the same urge after her stint on the reality show ended.
It all started with a simple breast augmentation to increase her cup size from A to D. It takes innermost zen to stop oneself from going for more procedures since most plastic surgeons harp on your insecurities and consult to carry out more cosmetic changes.
We are not sure whether Ms. Montag might have given in to the offer or it was her choice. Still, the reality TV star signed up for ten procedures, including rhinoplasty, liposuction, brow lift, butt augmentation, cheek implants, lip enhancement, chin reduction, botox, and more.
How Much Did Heidi Spend on Surgery?
Most plastic surgeons practice ethics in their conduct and do not advise the client to opt for unnecessary procedures. An excessive amount of surgeries also pose a threat to the patient’s life.
Heidi Montag reflects on the harrowing experience of near death due to an incorrect dose of the opioid Demerol during recovery.
She said in an interview–
“I wasn’t even in a place [to film]. And I kept saying, ‘I’m not a person right now. I need to heal and recover, and I’m not doing well physically.’ Like, I’m not able to show up like I was,” the reality star explained. “I thought I’d bounce back and be able to be on TV like I was after my first cosmetic surgery. But there was just way too much done, and each thing took too much time, and it hurt so bad.”
“I was just in such an immense amount of pain.”
Per a few sources, Heidi Montag spent over $30,000 on all 10 procedures and more throughout her transformation journey.
