Do you really want to look busy at your work? Here’s how you can not only appear productive but also have fun. The password game created by Neal Agarwal, also known as NealFun, hits close to home and instead gives PTSD from the pressure of setting a password.

The browser game is going viral, with people trying to cross each level.

Every rule presents a unique challenge. The player must create a password that satisfies all the conditions of the given rule; only then can they move to the next level. The difficulty moves up with each successful password, while the rules become more challenging.

But one rule seems to have made people look to the sky for answers. Here’s the mystery behind the dreaded Rule 13.

What Is Rule 13 In The Password Game?

Get ready for the rule of the moon. The rule suggests adding the current moon phase as an emoji to your password. If you want to know the current moon phase in your area, a quick Google search will give you the exact phase. Use the corresponding emoji to that phase, and your password is set.

And if you think it requires too many brain cells, just add all the phases to your password. The game will still accept the password.

What Is the Waxing Gibbous Emoji?

One of the eight moon phases is the Waxing Gibbous Emoji. This phase has confused some people, who are unable to find the appropriate emoji. Here’s a brief description of the phaseโ€“

  • It is the fourth phase of the moon.
  • It appears as a 99% illuminated moon with a slight dark crescent on the left side.
  • The word Gibbous is derived from the Latin word “gibbosus,” which means humpbacked.
  • This emoji is usually used to represent the eerie vibe or creepiness of a situation.
  • The Waning Gibbous Moon has a similar appearance, but the dark crescent is on the right side. One may confuse the two.
  • This moon phase was approved under the name “Waxing Gibbous Moon Symbol” as a part of Unicode 6.0 in 2010. It was added to Emoji 1.0 version in 2015.
  • This phase was last observed on July 2, 2023 (also varies according to the region).

How Is the Password Game Connected to the Moon Phase?

A moon goes through eight phases throughout the month, where each phase lasts up to 7-8 days. Here are all the phases and their corresponding emojis in order of their appearanceโ€“

  • New Moon: ๐ŸŒ‘
  • Waxing Crescent: ๐ŸŒ’
  • First Quarter: ๐ŸŒ“
  • Waxing Gibbous: ๐ŸŒ”
  • Full moon: ๐ŸŒ•
  • Waning Gibbous: ๐ŸŒ–
  • Third Quarter: ๐ŸŒ—
  • Waning crescent: ๐ŸŒ˜

The password game rule requires you to add the current phase of the moon into your password. You can directly copy the emoji from here.

How To Use Emoji On a Desktop For Password Game?

Using emojis on phones and tablets is relatively easy.

But if you are playing the game from your computer or laptop, here is an easy way to apply the emojisโ€“

If you are using Windows:

  • Right-click and select and select an emoji option from the drop box.
  • You can type in “moon” to specify your search, and you will see all eight emojis related to moon phases.
  • Shortcut: press windows+period, and an emoji dropbox will appear.

If you are using Mac:

Hold Command+Control+Spacebar, and the usual emoji menu will appear as seen on an iPhone.

People enjoy playing this game, considering how Neal has incorporated several genres, niches, and fun clues to solve the password game.

From a little girl who wrote school plays and made her friends act in them to an adolescent who got into dark humor, Yashica has built her own universe of peculiar characters inspired by great cinema. She has imbibed the philosophies of David Fincher's characters but lives like the eccentricity of Phoebe Waller Bridge's women. Her metahumans are those who can use the power of words to create an elixir of emotions and bring them to life on screen. Jordan Peele, Issa Rae, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Ilana-Abbi, Raj-DK, Anurag Kashyap, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and others are her Marvel's Avengers. With over two years of experience as a content writer, her writing pieces are well-researched, with a sprinkle of her opinions/inferences that keep the audiences engaged. She is still exploring more on the anime scene but is highly intrigued by it. The cinephile in her makes her appreciate the intricacies of filmmaking. You will get a lot more insight into it in her articles and thoroughly enjoy her explanations. Well, someday, you might see Yashica as one of the writers for a movie-- it's her ultimate dream!
