Grab your popcorn and put on your 3D glasses because CinemaCon 2023 is finally here! Las Vegas has never been more lit than it was this last week, with all the big names in Hollywood descending on the city for a week of glitz, glamor, and some serious film industry insider action at the Cinemacon.
All the major studios are out in full force, from Disney to Sony and, of course, Warner Bros. Discovery. There were exclusive sneak peeks, star-studded presentations, and more jaw-dropping moments than a Nicolas Cage movie.
But CinemaCon isn’t just about the movies. The show floor is packed with everything from the latest in theater tech to popcorn buckets that are practically works of art. It’s like Disneyland but for film buffs.
And speaking of Disneyland, attendees can catch a first look at Guardian of the Galaxy Vol3, directed by James Gunn. It’s like Christmas in April!
Let’s not forget the Big Screen Achievement Awards. This year’s honorees include everyone from Chris Meladandri to Melissa McCarthy, Anthony Ramos, Dominique Fishback, Zendaya, Stephanie Hsu, and more.
It’s like the Oscars but with less pressure and more fun. So grab a seat, kick back, and get ready for the ultimate movie experience.

Sony Pictures brought some exciting surprises to CinemaCon 2023, with a focus on their upcoming Spider-Man spin-off, Kraven the Hunter. The R-rated movie promises some gruesome action, including a nose-biting scene and a surprise appearance from the villainous Rhino.
We can’t wait to see Aaron Taylor-Johnson take on one of the most iconic Spider-Man villains on the big screen.
But Sony also gave us a glimpse into some of their other projects, including the eagerly anticipated Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse 2. Co-director Kemp Powers and the voice actors gave us a tender preview of the first 14 minutes, teasing some emotional moments between Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen.
And while we missed updates on Venom 3 and Ghostbusters 4, Sony also showcased some exciting new films, including the videogame adaptation Gran Turismo with David Harbour and Orlando Bloom and the horror sequel Insidious 5.
Plus, with titles like Dumb Money, The Machine, and Anyone But You, Sony proves they have plenty of eclectic and entertaining content in the works. Keep your eyes peeled for more from the studio in the coming months!
The Flash came bearing gifts..we guess! But not everyone was happy about it.

Hold onto your hats, movie lovers, because Warner Bros. just dropped a whole lot of cinematic goodness at CinemaCon! From superheroes to giant sandworms to a chocolate cartel, this lineup has got it all. And don’t forget the long-awaited sequel to Beetlejuice because we’re all ready to say “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice” and summon some spooky fun.
But let’s not overlook the show’s real star: Timothée Chalamet. Not only will he be riding sandworms and facing off against chocolate kingpins, but he’ll also be singing and dancing his way through Wonka. Move over, Gene Wilder; there’s a new Wonka in town.
And let’s not forget about Barbie, who’s getting the Enchanted treatment and being transported to the real world. We can only imagine the chaos ensuing when she tries to navigate life outside her plastic bubble.
So grab your popcorn and get ready for a wild ride, folks. Warner Bros. has got us covered with its quirky and exciting lineup. Who knows, maybe they’ll even give us a superhero movie about a crime-fighting popcorn kernel. Hey, we can dream, right?
Margot Robbie graced the event with her Dolled Up presence, and Twitter hailed her Barbie era!

Lights! Camera! Action! Disney came to CinemaCon with a bang and left us wanting more. While we were hoping to hear some news about Avatar 3, it seems like the Pandora gates are still closed. Boo to that!
However, we did get a glimpse of Chris Pine as King Magnifico in the upcoming Disney animated movie “Wish.” I mean, who wouldn’t want to be a king with a name like that?
But the real magic happened with the exclusive clips and extended scenes from upcoming movies. We got a heartfelt conversation between Star-Lord and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and a closer look at Ursula in The Little Mermaid. And let’s not forget about the new murder-mystery thriller, A Haunting in Venice. The trailer left us spooked and excited for what was to come.
Disney didn’t stop there, announcing Next Goal Wins from Taika Waititi and The Creator from Rogue One’s Gareth Edwards. Waititi’s film looks like a hilarious romp, while The Creator promises to take us on a wild sci-fi ride.
Overall, Disney left us wanting more, but at least we have something to look forward to. Now excuse me while I go practice my royal wave and wait for Wish to hit the big screen.
Finally, the day wraps up with a Paramount Transformers party.
Thursday, April 27
Lights, camera, action! The CinemaCon event has given us a sneak peek into the upcoming releases that have been sending fans into a frenzy. Paramount kicked off with the new trailer for Rise of the Beasts, and fans eagerly anticipate the release of Transformers 7.
But the real highlight of the day was the announcement of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7 release date being moved forward by two days. Who doesn’t love a bit of Cruise action?
But that’s not all. The horror fans were thrilled to learn that the Smile sequel is on its way, and the Hunger Games fans got their first look at the prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Plus, we can’t forget the excitement surrounding the upcoming releases of The Last Airbender, Killers of the Flower Moon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, and John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place prequel.
And we’ve got all the info you need for those eagerly waiting for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, Oppenheimer, Indiana Jones 5, and Insidious 5. So get ready to mark your calendars and make room for some serious popcorn munching. It’s going to be a blockbuster year!
Crazy day to be a Cinephile!
Tickets or How Do You Sneak in CinemaCon?
Sadly, if you’re not a bigwig in the film industry, you wouldn’t have been able to join the party at CinemaCon 2023. Tickets weren’t even up for sale, so you couldn’t have bribed your way in with all the popcorn and candy money in the world.
This exclusive event was strictly for the movers and shakers of the theater-owning and media world. But don’t worry, there’s always Comic-Con, where you can dress up as your favorite superhero and feel like a star!
CinemaCon 2023 was definitely not an event to be missed for any movie buff out there. With exclusive screenings, exciting updates, and award ceremonies, this year’s event was even bigger and better than ever before.
