A nationwide emergency summoned the Israelis for their allegiance to their motherland. Moshe Or scurried to report for reserve service upon knowing the clashes between Israel and the Hamas militant group.
But while obliging for his nation, Moshe was oblivious to the possibility that his loved one could be “one of them.”
With the one unfateful call from an acquaintance, Moshe’s patriotism has now turned into a desperation to save “one of them.” Even before the call ended, Moshe rummaged through the internet to find the one video. And amidst the countless videos shared online, Moshe found an unsettling thumbnail of his younger brother Avinatan Or.
Thirty-year-old Avinatan is seen paraded down by a bunch of men with his hands behind his back. This horrifying image reveals an even more sinister story of a girl pleading for her life as she is snatched away from her boyfriend, Aviantan, and taken away.
On October 7, the Hamas Militant group attacked the Supernova music festival, held along the Gaza Strip border. The festival attendees first saw rockets in the air, followed by gunshots. Everyone ran for their lives as the terrorists opened fire on them. Some of them were also abducted. One of them was a 25-year-old Israeli woman, Noa Argamani, who was taken away on a bike as Avinatan Or saw his girlfriend being taken hostage helplessly.

What Music Festival in Israel Was Attacked? What Is Supernova Festival Israel?
On Saturday, October 7, the ambient twilight hours along the Gaza Strip border were bustling with music and a legion of music lovers. The Supernova music festival was held in a desert outside of Kibbutz Re’im.
Known as the Brazilian psytrance festival Universo Paralello, Supernova festival hosted thousands of attendees, including Israelis and tourists worldwide. The all-night dance party was also a celebration of the Jewish holiday, Sukkot.
At around 6:30 a.m., while people were grooving to music and capturing memories in videos, the camera captured an unnerving object. People saw rockets in the sky. Even though it wasn’t as alarming, no one would have expected the gradual progression of events.
Half an hour later, the Hamas group opened fire in the open fields, making people run for their lives.
A considerable fraction of the attendees were taken hostage by the militia in bikes and cars. Among them was a young girl, Noa Argamani, who first hung on to her boyfriend’s bike as the men snatched her away. But the innocent victim was abducted on a motorcycle as she was seeking help from her helpless boyfriend, Avinatan, who himself was taken hostage.

Why Was Israel Attacked by Hamas?
Before getting into the specific attack, here is a brief summary of the history between Israel and Palestine.
The context of the Israel-Palestine conflict has now transcended to an “eye-for-an-eye.”
The tension remerged when Israel displayed “desecration” of the Al-Aqsa mosque. It is a Temple Mount in Jerusalem — a site sacred to Judaism and Islam in the Old City of East Jerusalem.
According to Hamas military commander Muhammad Al-Deif, this disrespect to Palestinian women was an attack on the nation, and thus, he initiated retaliation with the “Al-Aqsa Storm.”
The unforeseeable attack started on October 7, when the Hamas men broke into Isareli’s houses to kill them. About 700 deaths have been reported as a result of this mass attack.
