Jalen Milroe is the talk of the town as his team Alabama Crimson Tide is looking for a massive change to their starting lineup. After starting the first two games of the season for the Crimson Tide, the team cannot afford another loss this season if they want to make the College Football playoffs.
It was seen that Milroe had a hard time against the Texas Longhorns. Notably, his accuracy was wild, completing only 14 of 27 passes (51.9 percent) with a pair of interceptions through the air and 15 carries for 44 yards on the ground.
The reason why Jalen Milroe is not starting for the Alabama Crimson Tide is because of his previous performance, which was not up to the mark. Following his performance, the management made a massive change by replacing quarterback Jalen Milroe with Tyler Buchner.
Why Jalen Milroe Is Being Replaced By Tyler Buchner?
While the Alabama Crimson Tide cannot afford any other loss ahead in the season, the decision came after he could not play well against Texas in his previous match. The team will now start Notre Dame transfer Tyler Buchner against South Florida. Being the hotly debated action by the management, the new replacement is expected to do wonders.
Tyler Buchner did not have much time with the team and adapt before the season. It is being said that he might have a better grasp of this offense than Milroe has been able to do.
Tyler is expected to start as Quarterback when the team heads to Tampa to face South Florida, marking an early change at quarterback for Alabama.
What Happened To Jalen Milroe?
Soaring after Alabama football’s season-opening win over Middle Tennessee State, Jalen Milroe earned a share of the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Week honor.
However, he lost his grip on Alabama football’s starting QB spot after being Alabama’s longest-tenured quarterback. He was listed as one of four possible starters in the depth chart released before Alabama faced Texas, but it did not do particularly well.
Milroe got the start and played the entire game spending much of the game running for his life as the Crimson Tide had issues blocking, but his turnover problem returned.
“I gotta do better. I gotta improve. I gotta protect the ball. I gotta continue to lead and just learn. Just learn from it, grow from it, and just understand that there’s always more work to do.”
