However, sometimes, they do share the tragedy going on in their lives. Online influencer Christine Tran Ferguson shared a heartbreaking incident in her life that left everyone shaken. In fact, her latest updates have her fans worried that she might take her own life due to her son Asher.
Influencer Christine Tran Ferguson’s 15-month-old son, Asher, has passed away after a prolonged stay in the ICU. The 37-year-old mom is heartbroken and inconsolable. The cause behind the child’s death hasn’t been revealed by her yet, but many speculate that it might be due to asthma, choking, or drowning.

Christine Tran Ferguson, who goes online as Tour de Lust, has over 500k Instagram followers and over 270k on TikTok. She has been documenting the gradual decline in the health of her 15-month-old son, Asher.
On July 20, 2023, she revealed that Asher had passed away. In an Instagram post filled with pics of her, her husband, Ryan Ferguson, and her late son, she wrote:
“We should be preparing our trip to Italy next week. Instead, I’m looking at these photos from our first family vacation almost exactly a year ago at 4 months old. We had plans to show Asher where mommy and daddy got married in Positano and then explore Tuscany, a new area together as a family. I miss these memories, I miss you, I wanted new memories with you.”
The 37-year-old influencer didn’t elaborate on the infant’s cause of death. But she further talked about Asher in her post and said:
“You’re 15 months today my little angel. Mama and dada love you so much, you brought us so much joy, and made our family complete. I have never known how much love and happiness I could have until you came into our life. You are the smartest & happiest little boy I’ve ever known.”
Christine Ferguson said that she was heartbroken and just wanted to wake up from the nightmare she was in. She further said in her post:
“Why is this happening to us, why Asher?? You did not deserve any of this. Losing you is the hardest experience Mommy and Daddy have ever had to endure. Every day has been torture without you; this pain is unbearable. I still feel like you’re going to reappear, but our home is so quiet and empty without you. Part of me has died with you. I’m so heartbroken, with no idea how to live a life without you.”
While her fans sympathized with her and consoled her in the comments, they were also worried because, at the end of her post, she wrote, “We love you so much, my sweet boy; I pray I get to see you soon.”
Many think Christine might do something drastic in her grief and try to harm herself. After all, it’s pretty clear that losing her son has been unbearable for her.
What Was Christine Tran Ferguson’s Son Asher Suffering From?
It’s not yet clear what Asher was suffering from, but on the NYCinfluencersark subreddit, users speculated that he might have died due to asthma, choking, drowning, etc. One said:
“I read in comments somewhere by a friend of a friend that it was asthma related.”

“I was thinking maybe it was drowning or choking. As that may be something a parent may feel responsible for ( even when they’re not) and not want to share even though they are otherwise sharing information about the status of their child.”

Christine had previously asked everyone to keep her son in their prayers and had revealed that he was fighting for his life in the ICU. Asher was born on April 2022. In a post, Ferguson talked about how her son was a miracle baby for her because she thought he wouldn’t even survive the birth. She said:
“The doctor told us he had the cord around his neck so when the contractions happened, it would tighten around his neck, which led to his heart rate dropping. I’m just so glad our amazing doctors delivered him safely… I feel so blessed and lucky to be your mother, and I understand what everyone has told me. There is no love like this.”
There have yet to be any more updates from the influencer. Everyone’s hearts go out to Christine in this challenging time.
