The bootleg version of the Facebook feud, the Full Send Podcast, is just another case of “bros before ho*s” turning into “Mo Money Mo Broblems.”
The NELK boys have established themselves in the YouTube Prank-ternity as the OG community of pranks and social experiments. Even though the community has faded this decade, the NELK boys continue to be relevant in the YouTube realm.
One of the primary reasons why the decade-long YouTube channel has still sustained the “Too Old For Gen-Z” phase is because of their equally successful podcast, “Full Send.” Founded by Kyle Forgeard, the NELK YouTube channel with more than 8 million subscribers and the Full Send Podcast with over 2 million subscribers boast considerable engagement, following, and influence.
Bob Menery was a known name in the golfing community before he ventured as a sportscaster. At that time, Menery seemed like a befitting piece of the puzzle to the Full Send Podcat that mainly tapped into current sports news and events with special guests from all athletic corners.
The podcast soon gained traction in mainstream media as well, earning them great guests such as Elon Musk, Khamzat Chimaev, Canelo Alvarez, Vivek Ramaswamy, Austin Reaves, Dana White, and more.
However, the dude-cast seems to have been experiencing a bit of a drama.
Bob Menery left the Full Send Podcast on June 6, 2022, as reported by Variety. At first, fans perceived this to be an amicable departure. Later, a beef between Menery and Kyle Forgeard became apparent as the former accused the NELK of owing him money from his investment in the podcast. Forgeared clapped back at the false claims and clarified that Menery was paid handsomely over $1.2 million for ten months and $7500 per episode.
Why Did Bob Menery Leave The Full Send Podcast?
Menery’s side of the “he said-he said” indicates that he was duped by the Full Send Podcast. He mentioned that the podcast was surely getting more prominent than they thought.
But at the same time, who could stop the sin of greed? Per Menery, Kyle Forgeard and his crew were taking advantage of him and his following without proper remuneration for his contribution.
Kyle Forgeard came with receipts, suggesting Menery was getting more than paid. He was also compensated with 30% of ad revenues. Overall, Menery made $1.2 million during his 10-month tenure. Besides, he was getting paid $7500 per episode.
This reminds me of the Steven Crowder and Ben Shapiro feud over similar matters at The Daily Wire, where the former whined about his decreased pay after he failed to produce considerable ratings on his show.
In both cases, the tight-knit bromance was cut short the moment money came into the picture– Royalties before loyalties, indeed!
Dana White, the president of UFC, who has an affinity toward the podcast dudes, slammed Menery for making false claims.
Observing the majority of comments makes Netizens more inclined to Forgeard’s side.
What Is Bob Menery Famous For?
Bob Menery, who hails from Boston, Massachusetts, is widely known as a sportscaster and comedian who also first dabbled in acting. The 37-year-old podcaster first caught the eyes with his parodies and the unique voice of a sportscaster.
Per SoapAsk report, Menery started his exposure to sports when he caddied at the Wilshire Country Club for five years.
But his true calling was being a sports commenter, substantiated by his viral videos. After leaving the Full Send Podcast, Menery started his own podcast, “Ripper Magoos.”
Currently, his YouTube Channel has more than 108K subscribers. Plus, his networking got him notable guests from the NFL and business personalities.
Menery even addressed the feud with his former collaborator on the Ripper Magoos episode.
