The search for OceanGate’s submersible watercraft has ended—not a decent one, though. The U.S. Coast Guard has finally found the cause of Titan’s sudden disappearance. According to them, the watercraft has fallen prey to a catastrophic implosion.
The Titan submarine left for Titanic’s shipwreck site earlier this week. It soon lost all communications, leaving families in distress. Lately, the submarine was discovered near the Titanic Shipwreck with no survivors.
The catastrophic Implosion here refers to a sudden inward collapse of the sub due to immense underwater pressure. The Titan submarine must have suffered tremendous force and speed with crushing water pressure, which took the lives of five individuals.
What Exactly Took Down Titan?
OceanGate created the Titan sub, capable of withstanding the intense pressure underwater. The company is sending visitors and scientists underwater from 2022. So far, many OceanGate vessels have taken several drives to the Titanic shipwreck, but nothing has ever happened.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, they have discovered a debris field near the Titanic. All information points toward Titan’s catastrophic Implosion. It is still unclear what exactly must have happened.
As for people asking what does this Implosion look like? Anyone who is inside Titan will be crushed to death instantly, as the sub itself will be destroyed in just a matter of milliseconds.
Have a look at the below footage but imagine this a lot worse.
Do you know that OceanGate’s founder and CEO, Stockton Rush, also a passenger on the Titan, personally handled the reports regarding vessel structuring and material building?
During a pre-voyage visit, NASA and the University of Washington collaborated to design Titan’s pressure vessel made of titanium and carbon fiber.
According to CBS correspondent and former Titan passenger David Pogue, a large portion of the remaining structure, including the lights, handles, and propellers, is made of off-the-shelf components and is even controlled by a Playstation controller.
Strangely, the unclearness of the situation is raising eyebrows across the world. Since OceanGate has been sending underwater vessels since 2022. What must they have missed that has resulted in the loss of five lives? Wasn’t the vessel properly checked before sending it underwater?
Many assume OceanGate must have left something in their quality check that resulted in such a catastrophic event. The families who have suffered losses and even the authorities are gunning for a lawsuit against OceanGate. The event has drawn unwanted attention to the company.
Is the Search for Evidence Still Ongoing?
The U.S. Coast Guard is still conducting additional searches on the ocean floor in the hopes of uncovering new information. Finding anything underneath is quite an exhaustive task, as pressure and other factors are causing roadblocks in the hunt.
If you are wondering what has been found, then, as per the reports, the nose of the Titan sub has been located. Large and small debris fields were also found at the site. Finding Titan’s evidence underwater is similar to finding cookie crumbs, and if they could discover the trail, there would be a lot more evidence to support their claims.
Will the U.S. Coast Guard find more evidence? Will the families looking for justice find their answers? Is it possible to uncover the conspiracy many doubt is genuine behind this Implosion?
