Sound of Freedom, the 2023 movie based on the real-life of Tim Ballard, a federal agent in charge of Operation Underground Railroad (OUR), a non-profit organization. The movie sheds light on the darkest side of humanity by uncovering the true cases of rescuing children from sex trafficking rings.
The indie film, directed by Alejandro Gómez Monteverde and starring Jim Caviezel, Mira Sorvino, and Bill Camp, is a sleeper hit, grossing about $155 million with only a $14.5 million budget.
However, even the initial budget of the movie was a result of crowdfunding. After knowing about what social cause the movie addresses, several people contributed to the crowdfunding. Hence, materializing the movie, which was finished filming in 2018.
Among the 6000 crowd funders, one name has stood out, but for absolutely wrong reasons. The St Louis Police Department arrested Fabian Marta, who was one of the major funders of the movie, distributed by Angels Studios, Inc. As per the charges, Marta was arrested for removing a minor below the age of 14 who is a non-family member without their parent’s consent. Simply put- Kidnapping.
What Did Fabian Marta Do?
The charges were brought to light by an anti-disinformation activist, Jim Stewartson. He also won an Emmy award as a creative technologist. He shared the news via a Twitter thread.
He also accused Fabian of hosting “sugar baby/ sugar daddy” parties, implying that he pimps out women and girls of all ages. Within these posts, he provides solid evidence against Marta’s previous background.
Allegedly, Fabian Marta also follows QAnon– an American Conspiracy Theory Political movement that believes that Donald Trump is fighting a group of cannibalistic pedophiles. And then there was Pizzagate, a conspiracy theory that Democrats are running a child sexual abuse ring. By the way: all these theories are baseless and intended to create unnecessary ruckus.
After his $5 Million contribution to the production of “Sound Of Freedom,” this paradox that he himself is involved in a series of felonies involving children has perplexed the internet.
Why Was Fabian Arrested?
After the investigation, Fabian Marta was arrested on the charges of removing a minor under the age of 14 who was not a family member. As per the allegations, he did not obtain consent from the child’s parents.
After the arrest, the co-founder of Angel Studios Inc was seen low-key fending off the allegations against one of the contributors of his film, calling the whole issue a “nothing burger.” Fabian was even named on the end credits of the movie. After the backlash, the agency removed all Facebook posts associated with Fabian Marta.
But the netizens were clearly not having it as it sparked outrage online. Marta is facing a severe backlash as people are demanding a probe into the investigation.
If Fabian is found guilty, he will face up to 10 years in prison.
Fabian has also allegedly groomed a lot of young girls giving them false promises and committing heinous acts.
