Buying concert tickets has become a high-stakes game, where a successful booking automatically makes you a legend. With the already expensive rates and notorious ticket scalpers sucking hard-earned money from fans, buying tickets can easily raise your blood pressure.
Why attempt paragliding or skydiving when you can simply try to buy Taylor Swift’s concert tickets? After the back-to-back sold-out shows, The Eras Tour is being extended to help fans get a chance to see their favorite artist.
However, if you have ever been to a Swift concert, you know how hard it is to get access, and ticket scalpers often hike the price many times over. Why should fans suffer for the worsening system management? After repeated grudges and complaints by fans, Ticketmaster has finally decided to upgrade its system.
What Are Taylor Swift’s Verified Fan Tickets?
Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system tries to help dedicated fans access pre-sales over bulk buyers and resellers. The process is created to vet real fans and block bots and scalpers through registration and verification.
In order to buy a ticket, you must create a Ticketmaster account and register as a Verified Fan. The registration is currently open and will last till August 5, 5 pm ET. The selection will be made randomly, and an email will be sent on August 8 if you are selected. If you get chosen, you will receive a unique access code to buy tickets during a specific time frame, and the code cannot be shared.
If you are not selected, you will be waitlisted in case any tickets remain and sent a code. However, you need to remember that just because you have been vetted and received a code does not guarantee your ticket since it is a high-demand concert.
