Crunchyroll gives a peak at TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You Season 2
TONIKAWA fans have a surprise in store for them. A special episode will air in Japan on November 22nd this year. TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You ~Uniform~ Special Episode was first showcased at the Crunchyroll Expo this year and was supposed to be released during the summer season but got postponed.
Also, A new music video was broadcasted on YouTube.
TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You Music Video
After watching the video, I can say Akari Kito does a fabulous job at singing. The video is centered around Tsukasa preparing Hamburg steak, with the lyrics giving audiences step-by-step instructions on how to prepare the steak. We also see three different images of Mrs. Yuzaki in the video at 0:45 (timestamp), where she appears as a smartly-dressed detective, a cute maid, and a green coat. While cooking, Tsukasa is seen wearing a green apron.
In the final episode of season 1, we saw the couple visit a shrine during a festival and pray for a happy life together. They were just about to kiss when Kaname noisily interrupted them, leading them to blush. The group then gazes at the gorgeous fireworks as Tsukasa and Nasa keep their hands entwined.
Hiroshi Ikehata has once again signed on as the director for the next season. Kazuho Hyodo will be in charge of series composition, i.e., screenplay, and Masakatsu Sasaki shall operate as the character designer. Endo will handle the music department.

The series was heaped with praise because of its innocent portrayal of young love. In the world of anime, such stories are rare. Thus it’s a definite treat for those who enjoy true romance.

The first season was released in October 2020. Produced by Studio Seven Arcs, Crunchyroll and Aniplus Asia licensed it. With 12 episodes and 1 OVA, this tale focuses on the chance encounter of two strangers. Nasa Yuzaki is a bright teenage boy who comes across Tsukasa Tsukuyomi, a beautiful red-haired girl who saves his life. Head over heels in love, Nasa proclaims his earnest feelings for the girl. Tsukasa decides to date him with one strict condition; that the two would get married. On his 18th birthday, the pretty lady appears at Nasa’s doorstep with a marriage form. Thus begins the adventures of a newly-married couple.
