Summer Walker (an American singer) just did what most weird, heartbroken people wish they could do. Crush your ex’s junk under a hydraulic machine, and call it therapy.
Ahead of her new album Finally Over It (dropping November 14), the R&B star teamed up with YouTube to launch the “Finally Over It Dump Truck Service.”
A mint-green, heartbreak-themed mobile pop-up that literally lets fans throw out their ex’s stuff. The truck pulled up at Morehouse College in Atlanta last weekend, where students from Spelman and Clark Atlanta lined up to toss hoodies, teddy bears, and leftover emotional baggage straight into the back.
Walker herself showed up in a chic sanitation worker fit, promoting this entire charade.
Here’s her Instagram post:
Also, everything collected supposedly goes to charity afterward because even your ex’s stuff deserves a better home. Maybe…
I think the dump truck is about letting go, publicly and unapologetically, and sharing a compressed box of Ex’s leftovers on social media would be interesting.
Look, I know Walker just turned breakups into a potential business model, but it’s weird that there are people who actually pay for this service.
If you are a bit unhinged like me, burn those leftovers, or if you’re a kind soul, donate them to some charity or orphanage.
Ahh, I guess people will always follow what’s trending just to be a part of that, and it never changes.
I’m good, though. I don’t carry grudges or feelings.
THE WHY: INCLUSION

1 star because people are doing whatever these days in the name of promotions.
“Look, most of us want a normal life without any drama, but life in this world is always strange, and uncertain.
I don’t need your email. I don’t want to bug you with a billion notifications. All I ask is this, if you felt something here, if this made you think, laugh, or even shake your head in disbelief, turn on notifications or just bookmark ‘Averagebeing.com’ and come back tomorrow.
That’s it. No strings. Just you, me, and this stupid world.”
