Secret Invasion has just dropped two episodes from the miniseries, and the MCU fans are impressed by the darker hues of the storyline and multi-dimensional characters.
After years of breadcrumb storylines in every Marvel movie, we finally get a Nick Fury saga to explore the mysterious character. Nick was always the sensible voice of reason amongst the superhumans or people with a buttload of money. It would be pretty interesting to see how the character fleshes out when he is in charge of the mission.
But fans were more excited for the cheerful Emilia Clarke to take up the role of G’iah. We witness the heartwarming reunion of Talos and his daughter G’iah. She is Gravik’s most trusted operative as they are preparing for the paramount colonization of Earth.
With her firm loyalty, she betrays her father with false information, ultimately executing the bombing in Russia, which leads to Mariah’s demise.
But the series will explore her most challenging inner turmoil. She finds out that her mother was killed in the very operation she is working for.
She will join hands with Nick Fury to stop Gravik from his devious plan. But who is G’iah’s mother? And why is she so significant in Marvel’s universe?
Who Is Soren in Marvel?
Soren belongs to the Skrull community, and she is also Talos’s wife.
Her story begins before the Secret Invasion series–
During the Kree-Skrull war, she sought refuge in Mar-vell’s lab, which is cloaked in Earth’s orbit. Soren, with her daughter, G’iah, hides with other Skrull refugees. Later this group remains on Earth during the events of Captain Marvel.
While she initially departs with the group in search of a new home planet, Soren later returns to Earth with her husband, Talos. They decide to join forces with Nick Fury and Mariah Hill in their mission.
Soren shapeshifts into Mariah, and Talos impersonates Nick Fury while the latter two escape for secret missions.
Soren and Talos were also crucial characters in Spiderman: Far From Home, where the post-credits scene reveals that Nick and Mariah were actually Talos and Soren in disguise.
What Happened to Soren?
Soren is worried about the growing tension with Gravik’s rebellion. She realizes that only the real Nick Fury can command the mission to stop the war.
She convinces Talos to contact Fury immediately and asks him to permanently return to Earth before the rebellion devours the humans. But she meets with an unfortunate end when either Gravik or one of his soldiers kills her in the encounter.
Soren dies before the Secret Invasion series begins.
However, due to the ambiguity of timelines, it is difficult to say whether we will see her in the series. Mariah Hill is confirmed to appear in The Marvels, although the chronology of the timeline is unknown. Only time will tell if we can expect Soren to impersonate Mariah in the next MCU movie.

Secret Invasion is essentially a miniseries comprising six episodes in total.
