Secret Invasion Episode 4 Ending Explained
In the latest installment of Secret Invasion, a pivotal moment shakes the audience as Gravik shoots G’iah and teeters on the brink of death. In a stunning twist, however, she emerges victorious and showcases her Super-Skrull abilities to the shock of those around her.
With the help of Extremis, she has the ability to both heal and fight. As the flashbacks reveal, Fury and Priscilla grow closer while working together to safeguard their community and assist those in need.
At the chapel, Skrull-Rhodey tells Priscilla that he is not who he seems and gives her permission to take action against her husband. Little did they know, Fury overhears their conversation through a bug. As soon as Fury realizes the truth, he begins investigating the situation. Later, Talos and G’iah meet in a peaceful park. G’iah bravely expresses her desire for freedom and decides to leave, believing that their species cannot thrive while being confined.
Nick and Priscilla have a heart-to-heart conversation about their identities and their relationship. During the talk, Skrull-Rhodey changes into a female Skrull and then back again, which causes a bit of confusion.
Nick and Skrull-Rhodey were meeting up to plant a tracker, but then Skrull-Rhodey blackmailed Nick with some footage of Gravik posing as Fury shooting Maria Hill. Anyway, Nick and Talos followed Skrull-Rhodey, and Gravik showed up pretending to be some Russians.
Things get pretty intense when Skrull-Rhodey spills President Ritson’s location to the New Skrullos leader. There was a big gunfight, and Talos got hit by a bullet, but they managed to save the president. But then Gravik ended up stabbing Talos, and Fury drove away with the president. It’s left us all wondering if Talos is okay and if the Avengers will have to step in for the Secret Invasion.
Is Talos Really Dead?
Yes. At least, that’s what the end of the episode revealed.
In a vain attempt to protect the US President on his visit to Russia, Talos is at the forefront of fighting the Skrulls. The POTUS was saved. However, Talos had to be taken to the car for help. Upon reflection, he came to the realization that the individual providing assistance was none other than Gravik himself.
At this very moment, Gravik stabs Talos, ending up killing him on the spot, even though Fury is doing all that he can do to stop him with his firing. Nonetheless, his firing has no effect on Gravik whatsoever. As Fury exits the scene, leaving Talos behind, to take the comatose POTUS to safety, the episode comes to an end. It is obvious from the viewer’s interpretation that Talos is dead.
There has been significant backlash from fans due to the exclusion of Talos and Maria Hill from the series. Many are expressing their disappointment and frustration with this decision of the makers.
Will There Be A Secret Invasion Season 2?
Currently, there is no update on the possibility of having a second season for Secret Invasion. It appears that this series will remain a standalone “television event.”
Nevertheless, we can anticipate the presence of some of the surviving characters in forthcoming Marvel productions. Marvel Comics previously employed the Dark Reign label from 2008 to 2009 to delve into the consequences of the “Secret Invasion” plotline. This resulted in Norman Osborn seizing power in the Marvel Universe.
