Amid talks of Baldur’s Gate 3, Remnant 2 has slipped unnoticed from the public eye. However, once players noticed how much the follow-up to Remnant: From the Ashes (2019) had to offer, everyone was hooked.
In this third-person shooting game that looks like it takes place in the world of Dark Souls, the main objective is to defeat the Root, a dimension-spanning evil.
As expected, the game is extensive, and the campaign for each person can be unique. While that’s great, players sometimes tend to miss out on things from the world. They might miss out on items that could be used later on or be unable to experience that dimension fully. The Adventure Mode was created to fix this problem and then some more.
The Adventure Mode in Remnant 2 will let players explore their unlocked worlds and get the items and more they couldn’t in their campaign. To unlock this mode, you must play the first planet assigned to you and defeat the boss there. Then you can activate the Adventure Mode from the World Stone at Ward 13. You can also alter the difficulty level in the mode to test your skills. So you will be making other versions of the unlocked worlds.
How to Unlock Adventure Mode in Remnant 2
The player must finish the assigned first world to get the Adventure Mode feature in Remnant 2. So you will have to defeat the World Boss. After that, you will progress to a new area, but if you touch a crystal again, you will be notified of a new mode that has been unlocked.
Then if you click on it, you will be sent to a new area or a place you previously explored in the first world. This mode, Adventure Mode, will be saved in another file. So your campaign progress won’t be deleted or altered when you access this mode.
You can change the difficulty mode in Adventure Mode to test your skills and defeat bosses. So you can treat it like another campaign. Also, you can jump between Adventure and Campaign modes using the World Stone at Ward 13. This will let you test your skills and upgrade your archetype to face bigger bosses. Thus, making the game easier.
All About Remnant 2 Adventure Mode
Adventure Mode is an excellent addition to Remnant 2 because it allows players to revisit their worlds separately once again and check for items, bosses, places, and dungeons they might have missed. You will also be able to gather everything up and level up to face bosses. You can even switch between different locations if you have multiple ones unlocked.
In fact, players have reported that this mode helped them get items that didn’t spawn in their worlds but were necessary to unlock entrances. An example is the Navigator’s Helm. This item can only be fetched from an underground place at the Extraction Hub.
This headgear will let you enter Titan’s Reach so that you can get the Plasma Cutter. But some players might only come across the Extraction Hub in their campaign. As a result, they would have to generate the N’Erud world on the Adventure Mode.
Without this feature, playing the game would be way more difficult.
Remnant 2 offers procedurally generated areas, meaning characters, levels, etc., can be randomly generated based on the game’s mechanics and the rules set up. These worlds are theoretically on an infinite scale. As a result, you can make other versions of the unlocked worlds in Adventure Mode.
The best part is that you will be able to play through that world as many times as you want to get the things you need. However, it needs to be noted that even though the game has five worlds, the Adventure Mode can only generate three. These are:
- Yaesha
- N’Erud
- Losomn
However, there are some drawbacks. If you decide to reroll, the progress you saved in the Adventure Mode gets erased. Also, since the mode is self-contained and separate from the rest of the overarching story, it distracts from the immersion in the game. Some have complained about this feeling.
Remnant 2 is available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
