Makoto Shinkai and RADWIMPS enthusiasts, we have great news for all of you! Recently, a partnership involving the celebrated rock band and music composer Kazuma Jinnouchi was announced via Twitter.
Kazuma sensei is an experienced musician who has worked on Jumanji: The Next Level, Pokemon Detective Pikachu, Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045, and Metal Gear projects.

Suzume no Tojimari (also known as Suzume) will focus on the adventures of a 17-year-old girl who dwells in Kyushu. Suzume encounters a mysterious man named Sota Munakata, who is frantically searching for a “door.”
The two then journey together and are able to locate a door in an old house on the mountainside. As if possessed by a need to discover the unknown, Suzume unlocks the door.
Following this incident, “Doors of Disaster” spring up throughout the nation of Japan, and the female protagonist has to close and lock them all to prevent widespread devastation. The story is also centered around her reaching maturity at a young age. The film is scheduled for release this year on November 11th, 2022.
As always, CoMix Wave Films is the production company linked with the movie. Toho will attend to distribution. The Tiktoker going by the name of Toaka, will work on the theme of this movie. Crunchyroll will distribute the film outside the borders of Asia from next year onwards. You can watch the trailer that was released not too long ago below.

A celebrated anime film director and artist, Shinkai’s works have garnered lovers from across the globe. He started as a video game animator in 1996 and became popular in Japan when She and Her Cat was released in 1999. Since then, he has been working diligently with CoMix Wave Films and has unveiled various masterpieces such as The Place Promised in Our Early Days (2002), 5 Centimetres per Second (2007), The Children Who Chase Lost Voices (2011), The Garden of Words (2013), Your Name (2016), and Weathering With You (2019). About RADWIMPS
They’re a Japanese rock band that was established in the year 2003. Today they are associated with the EMI Music Label in Japan. Yojiro Noda (lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Akira Kuwahara (lead guitarist and backing vocalist), Yusuke Takeda (bass guitarist and backing vocalist), and Satoshi Yamaguchi (drummer and backing vocalist) are the current members who are part of the band. Their collaboration with Makoto Shinkai began with Your Name, which helped them triumph as one of the top-ranked artists on the Billboards. They also composed the soundtrack for Shinkai’s 2019 Weathering With You film.
