Minecraft has always been a game that involved its players with almost every major decision, including the introduction of new maps and mobs that will make a significant difference in its experience.
Like every year, Minecraft allows players to choose their favorite mob to be added in the upcoming Minecraft 1.21 update. So, it has revealed a few candidates as well as how one can vote for them during Minecraft Live Mob Vote 2023 this October.
So, in the article below, we will guide you through the process and how and where you can vote and select the mobs that will appear starting the next Minecraft update.
Minecraft Live 2023: What Are the Mob Candidates Introduced This Year?
Every year, a few mob candidates are introduced to the players, and once they cast their votes, one of those mobs will be selected and added to the game as part of the next major update.
With that in mind, here are the three mobs Minecraft has revealed for this year’s update:
The Crab
As introduced in the trailer, Crabs are shown to be harmless and peaceful beings who can survive in both water and land. The players can collect the claws of these crabs to gain the option to place the blocks a bit further than usual.
While not much is known about these mobs, Minecraft is bound to reveal more details regarding how they drop the claws after killing and what more benefits players can gain.
The Armadillo
Much like the regular animals we see in real life, Armadillos can curl into a ball to protect themselves, so hunting them in the game will be harder.
The trailer also demonstrated that these mobs will drop scutes, which are essential in crafting various types of armor. These mobs will spawn in savanna biomes and will be seen roaming across the lands if they win the contest.
The Penguin
Penguins are the third and final mobs revealed by Mojang Studios, and they are excellent swimmers, making them a great mob for underwater regions.
Like the Crab and Armadillo, Penguins are also friendly mobs and are revealed to aid in increasing a player’s speed while in the water. Penguins will spawn on the stony shore biomes if you intend to meet them after the voting contest.
When Will Mob Voting Take Place?
As announced by the official website of Minecraft, the voting to choose the mob for the 1.21 version begins on October 13 at 1 p.m. EDT (10:30 PM IST) and ends on October 15 at 1:15 p.m. EDT (10:45 PM IST), which is a bit longer than the previous years.
The players will have 48 hours to choose the mob they want in the game and cast their votes before the time limit. Once the designated time passes, the votes cast won’t be taken into consideration.
How To Vote in Minecraft Live Mob Vote 2023?
Like the previous year, players will be able to cast their votes in three ways, and we will list them below to make them more visible.
- Live Event Server on Minecraft: Bedrock Edition
- On The Official Website of Minecraft
- Within the Minecraft Launcher
The special event server will also be open 24 hours after concluding Minecraft’s live stream, so players can slowly decide and cast their votes on the latter day.
