Mignon is the tale of an illegal cage fighter and his struggle to survive. Of course, we can’t forget the significant theme of the Korean animation series: the BL plot. The protagonist falls in love with a vampire doctor, leading to a considerable derailment of both their lives.
Can Mignon be happy with his new partner? Will Dr. Oh be okay with the hellish impact that Mignon’s lifestyle will call upon them?
Mignon has been under production for over two years, and BL fans have been waiting for it with bated breaths. Now that it is finally out, we are here with all the details to help you binge the series.
Mignon Anime Plot
Mignon, the titular character, is an underground boxer. The only way he can earn his living is by fighting, and he has an extremely abusive instructor who beats him mercilessly and makes money through Mignon’s battles.
However, the boxer has someone he feels strangely attracted to. It is a doctor in the dumps who he often visits due to his injuries. The doc advises him to get a better job, but it all falls on deaf ears as Mignon admires the doc while his wounds get treated.
One day as Mignon enters the chamber unannounced, he walks into a strange scene where the doctor is drinking the blood of a patient. He realizes that the doctor is actually a vampire. Now, Mignon has a bounty on his head due to his accidental discovery.
Trailer
The trailer for Mignon showcases the unique animation style of the series. It presents the events of the Korean anime in a comedic form. The fighter Mignon, the doctor with who he has chemistry and even the gangsters are shown through a comic lens, despite the reality being quite different.
The second trailer, however, takes things to the next level. It reflects the serious nature of the animation and the two characters’ desperation for love. Mignon’s bloody matches are described beautifully, along with his blood bond with the vampire.
Mignon Anime Key Visual
The series has only received one visual:
