The Internet is a wild place. In the digital world, body acceptance is difficult in a culture that vilifies fat. No one is safe when trolls target anyone, even if someone is as famous as American singer Lizzo.
Recently, a social media post claiming she is having her own McDonald’s meal has been making rounds on the internet.
Taking to Facebook, a meme page named Ingestible Memes shared a post claiming that the singer is having her own “Lizzo meal.” The post gained many reactions from the netizens, as they just could not stop laughing. However, it was a nasty dig at her as the singer isn’t actually releasing a meal in collaboration with McDonald’s. It is utterly false, as the post is a disgusting attempt to body shame Lizzo by saying all that fast food is her “daily meal.”
Is The McDonald’s Meal About Lizzo Is For Real?
The fake post claims the purported lunch would include “10 burgers, 95 nuggets, and six diet cokes.” In the past, Lizzo claimed that she stopped eating fast food years ago after people chastised her for her weight.
The viral post also has a fake statement quote from the singer that says, “I’m so happy my daily meal will be a part of McDonald’s.”
On May 31, the 35-year-old Truth Hurts singer took to X (formerly Twitter) to call out social media trolls for commenting on her appearance. She shared a screenshot (deleted post) of one user who had posted a photo of her body and captioned it with a rude remark.
“I JUST logged on and the app and this is the type of s–t I see about me on a daily basis.”

Why Is The Internet Body Shaming Lizzo?
Back in August, Pop star Lizzo was sued by three of her former dancers over claims including sexual harassment and creating a hostile work environment. Lizzo was accused by 9 ex-employees of creating a hostile work environment. Reportedly she was alleged for s*xual harassment and fat shaming them.
The former dancers for Lizzo also described incidents of being forced to participate in religious activities. Arianna Davis, 24, and Crystal Williams, 26, talked openly in an interview about the suffering they said they endured by Melissa Jefferson, aka Lizzo. “I was mortified,” said Davis.
They revealed they were afraid to speak out earlier because they feared for their jobs. “I just couldn’t sit with the fact that this was happening behind the scenes. she’s kind of contradicting everything she stands for,” added Williams.
All these allegations have led the internet to blast Lizzo. It comes after she received widespread criticism over alleged s*xual and racial discrimination by her former dancers. The statement by her former dancers has created quite a controversy, and the hoax of Lizzo’s meal has added more fuel to the fire.
While the Internet was astonished after a false post about Lizzo releasing her own McDonald’s meal went viral, several individuals criticized the dish and gave wild reactions, making fun of the portion size.
Many jokingly claimed they could eat it for their family as many others referred to it as a “heart attack” dinner, notably making light of the diet Coke stated on the menu.
