From Kyle Appleford’s mouth: What is Jenny Apple’s current condition?
Jenny Apple/ Appleford’s YouTube channel was never prominent. Boasting only of 164,000 subscribers, the channel that began in 2015 never exploded too much in terms of views or subscribers.
Yet, the homely family vlogging channel created a community feeling among its viewers. Many loved the close-knit vibe that she and her family were able to foster with their fans.
That’s why it hit everyone hard when Jenny was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. Now, the fight is over, and Jenny has won yet lost.
Jenny Appleford’s husband, Kyle Appleford, confirmed in a YouTube video that Jenny had passed away at 5 A.M on November 5, 2023. Kyle said, “We lost our beautiful Jenny. She finally beat cancer.” She was suffering from the critical phase of stage IV inoperable lung cancer (Adenocarcinoma).
What Cancer Was Jenny Apple Suffering From?
Jenny Apple/ Appleford was diagnosed with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (Adenocarcinoma) in March 2021 at 33 years of age, even though she has been a non-smoker all her life.
Her sister, Ashley Horton, set up a GoFundMe page with a goal of $100,000. It exceeded the amount as the donations poured in, and soon, they had collected over $150,000.
Since then, Jenny and her family have been documenting her health and treatment progress on YouTube. However, even though they tried a lot of options, the cancer spread to her brain and the lymph nodes.
In July 2023, doctors informed 36-year-old Jenny Apple and her husband Kyle that she had five to six months to live. On October 29, 2023, they uploaded a video titled “I’m Dying.” There, Jenny gave an update on her cancer.
She revealed that her stage IV lung cancer, which was inoperable, had exceeded the critical phase. In two years, she gradually became frail and lost her hair to the rigid treatments.
Jenny informed her fans on a recent livestream that she had to go to the hospital due to multiple complications. She said:
“I have bad news, guys. I’m dying – like I’m actually dying right now. I’m so scared. I don’t know what to do.”
Kyle and Jenny were coming to accept that her last days were near because the doctors had told her to be on a ventilator. However, Jenny declined because of her friend’s experience in a similar situation.
Jenny and Kyle have two kids- a son, Eliss, and a daughter, Winnie. She was afraid for her children, who could barely understand what was happening to their mother even though she informed them of how it was going to end.
Now, the worst has come true.
Did Jenny Apple Die?
Jenny Apple has passed away. Her husband Kyle informed her fans through a YouTube video titled – “We lost our beautiful Jenny. She finally beat cancer.”
Choking and barely able to speak, Kyle told everyone after trying to compose himself:
“So this is an update to inform you that Jenny, our beautiful, beautiful girl, our beautiful angel, has become an angel.”
She breathed her last at 5:00 A.M on November 5. Kyle said it was fitting because she was always “big into signs and numbers.” He also tearfully said:
“So Jenny’s earthy body is gone, but her soul and spirit will live on in all of us forever.”
