Invincible Season 2 Release Date and Where to Watch
Fans know that seasons 2 and 3 of Invincible were given the green light in April 2021. Finally, on November 3, 2023, Friday, Invincible Season 2 will drop on Amazon Prime Video. However, the entire season isn’t going to air in one go. The first four episodes will drop every week till December 1, Friday. After that, the show will be on hiatus, and the last four episodes will be aired in early 2024.
The dates have yet to be announced. The wait for season 2 has been long for fans, but showrunner Simon Racioppa has confirmed that the crew has been working hard to bring them the best show they can. While fans wait for the new season to drop, they can check out the prequel installment, which explores the origins of Atom Eve.
Invincible Season 2 Trailer
The trailer for Invincible season 2 made everyone’s jaws drop because it insinuated that Mark Grayson, the titular Invincible, would turn to the dark side. In particular, the voice clips of Cecil Stedman and Debbie Grayson hinted at that shift. But fans who have read the comics by Robert Kirkman know that Mark isn’t turning evil anytime soon, and it’s just the good ol’ bait-and-switch for the show’s viewers.
However, seeing Mark clash with the Immortal and grapple with the incoming Viltrumite threat will be interesting. While Mark’s father, Omni-Man, won’t be a massive part of the upcoming season, his presence will surely continue over the show.

Invincible Season 2 Plot
The biggest reveal from the teaser and trailer of Invincible Season 2 is about Immortal returning after getting revived. The upcoming season could explore a variety of comic book storylines. But since season 1 followed the comics linearly and stopped at around issue 23, the new season could start from issue 24.
In the finale of season 1, Omni-Man went into space after he failed to enslave humanity or kill Mark for the Viltrumite Empire. In season 2, Mark will be responsible for protecting Earth from the dreaded Viltrumite invasion that’s coming. He will also help the Coalition of Planets stop the Viltrumites from expanding across the universe.
Even though Omni-Man won’t feature much in season 2, viewers should learn about his whereabouts. In the comics, Nolan goes to another planet, hoping to offer that to the Viltrumite Empire instead of Earth. In season 2, viewers will also learn more about the Sequids, the parasitic race that could engulf Earth.
What are your thoughts about the upcoming Invincible Season 2?
Will the show follow the comics by Robert Kirkman perfectly? Will the show diverge from the comics and make Mark a villain like it hinted in the teaser?
