The Metaverse is constantly integrating new ways to keep you hooked. In December 2022, the company launched a unique feature of the picture-sharing app– Instagram Notes.
Basically the random thought on your mind or a funny joke that you might forget later; now, every fleeting brain wave can be posted in a 60-character status. Simply put– it is a version of a tweet that appears on the top of your icon on the chat/DMs section.
This feature allowed the status to be seen for only 24 hours, just like the disappearing Instagram stories feature. You can also customize the setting to either allow only your selected close friends to view the status or make the status public.
This was all cool to let your friends know how you are feeling, but then Instagram got much cooler with an added feature to the Instagram Notes.

Why Can’t I Add Music to My Instagram Note?
There might be a few reasons why you still can’t access the music feature on Instagram notes.
- It might pertain to the region that you are living in. Sometimes Instagram does A/B testing and makes a feature accessible to only a few users. This only means they are trying to provide the best possible version of the feature. Just wait for a few days; it will be available for all.
- Sometimes it is also a bug that might restrict the feature for some users. A few complaints were posted on Twitter, but Instagram has not officially responded to these discrepancies.
- Make sure that you have the latest version of the Instagram app on your phone. Only then this in-built function will work.
- Instagram is still rolling out this feature in phases. So it is only a matter of time before this feature will work for all.
