Anime depicting heroes going against demon lords are a dime a dozen. You must have already encountered some series like that, to the point that it has become repetitive. Yet, have you ever seen a hero trying his best to support demons?
Helck is somewhat of an oddball in the action and adventure genre. Instead of siding with the humans, the protagonist likes the demons much better. He has even participated in the competition to become the next demon lord!
What’s more? He has the full support of the demon audience, save one rational demon, Vermilio. Are Helck’s intentions really as pure as they seem? Read on to learn more about the new Summer 2023 anime.
Helck Plot
The Demon King has been defeated by the human hero, Thor. As humanity celebrates its victory, the demon kingdom is in shambles and in need of a new demon hero. Thus, a selection is being held to find the strongest warrior who will become the next lord.
Unexpectedly, the strongest competitor is a human named Helck. Helck seems popular with the demon crowd and says that he hates humans. With level 99 strength, he is unlikely to be defeated by anyone else.
One of the Four Heavenly Kings, Vermilio, is suspicious of Helck and tries to fail him by throwing twisted competition levels at him, but the hero passes them with ease. All of a sudden, the demon kingdom is under attack by armored and winged soldiers. The army is already weak from the previous defeat, and they are sorely in need of a savior.
Helck Trailer
Two trailers have been revealed for Helck.
The first trailer shows the physical prowess of Helck and how much he hates humans as he happily badmouths humanity in front of the demon crowd.
The second trailer expands on the first PV as it shows Vermilio severely doubting Helck as well as a bit of his past. He is the strongest adversary of the humans. The video also previews the opening theme song, It’s My Soul, by Hiroki Nanami.
Helck Visual
Two key visuals have been released for the Helck anime. The first one consists of Helck himself, the weird hero of the series, and the second shows Vermilion, the female protagonist who is also one of the Four Heavenly Kings.
