Many thought that it was less than the fairytale ideal seen in Hollywood. But despite it all, the couple found their way back to each other and welcomed their daughter Khai on September 19, 2020.
The child isn’t even three years old, and her parents have done everything in their power to keep her safe and away from the eyes of the paparazzi. Even though mom Gigi Hadid does post photos of her daughter, she rarely shows her face.
Also, neither she nor Malik talks too much about her. As such, their fans have only come to know about Khai in bits and pieces over the years.

In April 2020, model Gigi Hadid announced that she was expecting a child with beau Zayn Malik, a former member of the boyband One Direction. In September, she gave a natural home birth, surrounded by Zayn and her family, and welcomed Khai.
Both of them were determined to co-parent even though just a year later, Zayn’s relationship soured with Gigi’s mom Yolanda after the latter accused him of shoving her.
Even though the two parents haven’t publicly talked in detail about their co-parenting arrangement, judging by Gigi’s Instagram posts, it certainly looks like Zayn is an ever-present figure in his daughter’s life. In fact, he is the one who threw Khai her second Peppa Pig-themed Birthday party.
Gigi revealed that she scheduled her work arrangements when Khai was with Malik. This allowed her daughter to always be with either of the two parents. During Father’s Day, she wished her father, Mohamed, and Zayn. The two parents don’t talk much about their daughter in interviews, but sometimes they tell audiences little tidbits about Khai.
Once, Zayn Malik said that fatherhood came easy to him because his daughter isn’t fussy. Also, in another interview, the ex-boy bander confessed that Khai had brought color back into his life again. As for Gigi Hadid, she thinks that her daughter is a genius. The supermodel is in awe of her daughter; even seeing her lifting a cup or putting a ball in a hole makes her feel joy.
Hadid’s work takes her worldwide, especially to big cities. New York City is almost her workstation now. But to give her daughter a sense of peace and calmness away from the hustle and bustle of the city, she raises Khai on the Pennsylvania farm she owns with sister Bella Hadid. Zayn Malik agrees with this as well.
The runway model also shared pics of Khai on the ranch, where she could be seen picking blueberries, chilies, going to visit horses, and more. Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik do the brunt of parenting and child-rearing. But their families, especially Hadids, step in as well. Aunts Bella, Alana Hadid, and Grandma Yolanda seem to adore Khai and shower her with love.
The most public thing that Gigi has done to protect her daughter is pen an open letter to the paparazzi and press requesting them to blur her daughter’s face. In the Instagram post, she said she couldn’t protect her daughter from everything as she grew up fast. Also, she didn’t want to put a sunshade or hat on her child at all times because she wanted her to experience the world as well.
Khai also enjoys vacations with her mom. Gigi took her daughter on a tropical vacation to celebrate the 2023 New Year. In the Instagram pics she posted, Khai can be seen with Hadid playing in the ocean. But what does mom and daughter’s typical day look like? Apparently, Gigi eats whatever Khai wants to eat in the morning. She often makes Khai pancakes and sausages every morning.
Zayn Malik also said he wants to be a good role model for his daughter. Both famous stars wish to ensure Khai is in touch with her mixed heritage through Bollywood songs, food, and more. Overall, only a little is known about Khai since she’s still so little, and it’s better if it stays that way for a long time.
