Is “Suits” Coming Back with Season 10?
‘Suits’ recently debuted on Netflix, and ever since, it has been one of the most-watched series. Its resurgence on the streaming list was huge and even invited a hot crisis. Recently, it gained “No. 1 title on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings” for the August 28, 2023 to September 3, 2023”. The show has been charting for the 11th consecutive week.
With such an amazing response, fans wondered if the producer and creators would release any new season of the show. However, the possibilities are neither 0 nor 10. The legal drama wrapped its last season, 9 in the year of 2019. After its launch on Netflix US in June 2023, the show once again received overwhelming viewership, giving fuel to the demands of season 10.
Meanwhile, despite all the gossip and whispers, the producer Gene Klein discussed the possibility in an interview with TVLine, saying,
“I’ve mentioned to [creator] Aaron that I keep, in this era of reboots and reunions and all this other stuff, that I’m expecting a call at some point. But I’m not aware of any serious conversations. It’s just one of those things where, in this day and age, you wouldn’t be surprised if somebody called you someday.”
The show creator, Aaron Korsh, also reacted to the possibilities of season 10. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, he mentioned that he doesn’t have any idea about how to do a reboot. He said,
“It’s not like I can think of a ton of shows that have been rebooted that I’ve watched, where I was like, “Yeah, that was great.” Usually, I’m not even interested in watching them. So, again, if someone reached out and the cast was into it, I would consider it, if I could come up with something that excited me.”
He further tweeted from his X account, discussing the chances of a Season 10. He mentioned that it is not a small thing, but some networks need to approach the cast as a unit, then it can happen.
To which a fan replied,
“I personally would prefer no reboot/anything. The show ended where it needed to & I am very satisfied with it. Too often finales/last seasons sink what was a great series, but Suits was 💯 wonderful and wrapped up everything beautifully. And very few reboots ever really work.”
While another counter replied,
“I don’t agree..I can’t get enough of the show.”
In the reply section, there few fans even suggested the plot they wanted to discover, saying,
“It is good to explore Mike & Harvey’s life in Seattle. Have Donna go to law school, then have Donna bring up to Harvey about adopting a child. Lots to explore there. Plot twist, have Rachel Zane miss the Big City, Big Law Firm life, and explore that. Lots of things 2 explore ❤️”
Hence, it can be concluded that there is no official announcement regarding the comeback of the legal drama with any upcoming season. However, fans are not losing their hopes in the possibilities hinted at by the members of the show.
