If you open any of the several social media platforms on any fine day, you will likely come across some genuinely bizarre rumors. Many of these are so wild that you will have to take a pause while sipping your morning coffee.
We encountered one of these in the wild, and this one said that 56-year-old Nicole Kidman was pregnant. While some thought that this was fake, others were less sure. After all, there have been cases of miracle babies.
So, is this news accurate? Or is it just a bait post for getting higher engagement?
No, Nicole Kidman isn’t pregnant. The rumor of her having a baby through IVF is fake. She already has four kids- Bella (30), Connor (28), Sunday Rose (15) and Faith Margaret (13). She adopted the former two with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. She shares the latter two with her husband of 17 years, Keith Urban.
Is Nicole Kidman Having A Baby?
Multiple posts have been making the rounds of social media claiming that famous Hollywood star Nicole Kidman is pregnant again following a successful IVF procedure.
But the rumors are false. Nicole Kidman is not pregnant. There has been no official confirmation of the same in any trusted trade outlet. Also, she, her team, or even her husband, Keith Urban, haven’t officially announced anything on their social media profiles.
This isn’t the first time pregnancy rumors have swirled around Kidman. After the Golden Globes win of Big Little Lies in 2018, many outlets alleged that the Moulin Rouge star was pregnant with another child.
But the news was debunked back then as well.
How Many Children Does Nicole Kidman Have?
Nicole Kidman has four kids. She has two adopted children, Bella Cruise (30) and Connor Cruise (28), with her ex-husband Tom Cruise. Also, she has two biological kids, Sunday Rose (15) and Faith Margaret (13), with her husband of almost seventeen years, Keith Urban.
Kidman had a miscarriage while she was married to Tom Cruise. That incident traumatized her and ultimately led to the adoption of Bella Cruise. She once revealed to Vanity Fair in 2007 (via People magazine) that:
“From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies, and we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic. And that’s when we would adopt [our daughter] Bella.”
In a 2020 Glamour UK interview, the actress said she loves a child’s perspective. Kidman confessed:
“It’s just fun because I find their perspective not so heavy. It puts you in a more childlike place where you go, ‘I can move through this, and it can be fleeting. It doesn’t have to become a massive weight.’ “
Urban and Kidman have tried their best to keep their daughters out of the limelight. However, over the years, they have made public appearances. Also, they were extras in Nicole’s HBO show, Big Little Lies.
The constant pregnancy rumors regarding Nicole are probably because she has always been open about wanting kids and having a big family. In 2021, she told Marie Claire Australia (via People magazine) that:
“I would’ve loved ten kids. I love mothering; I love kids. They’re quirky, funny, and unfiltered. And then you get to see them grow and send them on their way.”
However, she hasn’t had any children since the birth of her youngest, Faith Margaret. So it doesn’t look like she would start having kids again now.
