Additionally, the movie isn’t the only thing that’s attracting attention; rapper Nicki Minaj’s collab with the film is also quite trending these days.
With the film’s release, Nicki and Ice Spice caused a social media frenzy on June 10, 2023, when they announced the official release date for their second collaboration, “Barbie World,” alongside a stunning photo. Nicki, sporting her famous Barbie necklace, looked radiant as she and Ice Spice posed for the camera.
Since then, fans have been curious to know if Nicki has any part to play in the movie.
Is Nicki Minaj in the Barbie Movie?
No. Sadly, the Anaconda singer will not be making any appearances in the film. Since the release of her music video for Barbie World with Ice Spice on June 23, Minaj has been actively promoting it. Attending the premiere of the Barbie movie was another reason why fans believed the rapper might as well also be a part of the film.
What also caused fans to speculate was Minaj, with fellow NYC femcee Ice Spice recently releasing the song “Barbie World” for the Barbie movie soundtrack on June 23, 2023. But sadly, this is the closest association the hit rapper will have with the movie.
Moreover, the rumors of Minaj making a cameo in the movie also seem baseless as neither the official makers of the movie nor the trailers or first look of the film seem to mention Nicki as part of the project.
However, Nicki’s unwavering love for Barbie dolls can’t be neglected either, as fans of the rapper icon are aware of her MySpice- Harajuku Barbie name and hence thought she’d be making a cameo in the film.

So much is Nicki’s love for Barbie dolls that the toy giant Mattel even introduced Nicki’s version of Barbie dolls in 2011. During the five-day Divine Design event and gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, Mattel auctioned off a one-of-a-kind Nicki Minaj Barbie doll. The bidding began at $1,000.
