Legendary football player Ray Lewis’ son’s mysterious death has shaken the internet, with his brother Rahsaan Lewis being one of the first to break the news to his fans.

The news of Lewis Jr’s demise was first shared by his brother, Rahsaan Lewis, who took to his official Instagram handle to share the tragic news.
“I really can’t believe I’m even typing this but RIP big brother. A true angel. I pray you’re at peace now because I know how much you were really hurting.”
Rahsaan added, “I don’t and I won’t ever have the words, man, ’cause this pain right here… I love you, I love you, I love you.”
His sister, Diaymon Lewis, also shared her misery upon learning the news of Lewis Jr.’s demise through Instagram.
“Brownie, I love [you] with all of my heart. You will always be my first love and truly are the definition of a quintessential brother. To the most genuine and talented person I know, go get your rest baby and I’m glad you’re at peace. Fly high baby.”
Since the initial news of the 28-year-old’s death broke out on Thursday like wildfire on the internet, fans were equally restless to know what caused the young lad to pass away at such a young age.
While many claims and counterclaims exist, an initial police inspection has ruled out ‘accidental drug overdose’ as the cause of death, as revealed by the TMZ report.
Reason Behind Lewis Jr.’s Mysterious Death Revealed
According to TMZ, Florida police informed that they were contacted about a medical issue on June 14 at 5:29 p.m. They found Ray naked and unconscious when one of his friends performed CPR on him, but even before the authorities could give him Narcan, known to treat narcotic overdoses, Lewis Jr. had already been declared dead.
According to the same report, when police investigated his room, they discovered a blue tablet close to Lewis’ body that they later informally identified as alprazolam, the active ingredient in brands like Xanax. In addition, a used needle and a little plastic bag were reportedly discovered at the site, along with an empty beer can.
Ray played football in college at the Universities of Miami, Coastal Carolina, and Virginia Union, following in the footsteps of his father, the Hall of Fame-inducted Baltimore Ravens linebacker. He committed to playing cornerback and safety for the Wyoming Mustangs indoor football team in October 2021.

For the uninitiated, Lewis Jr. was also trying his luck in the music industry before his unfortunate demise and was an aspiring rapper. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Lewis Jr. was also charged with third-degree criminal sexual assault in 2016 by a grand jury in South Carolina. He was then expelled from the institution and the squad.
However, the accusations were ultimately dismissed. Later, in 2017, Ray III completed his undergraduate career with the Virginia Union Panthers. He participated in indoor football for the Wyoming Mustangs in 2021.
