In this vile chess of war, the target has shifted from attacking the king to strategizing a defense plan to defeat the queen, bishop, rook, and knight. But in the process, this risky move might spike the chances of war beyond the boundaries.
The Israel-Hamas conflict has reached a new level at about a week since Hamas attacked Israel via land, air, and sea. On what is considered one of the largest and the deadliest attacks in years, Israel declared a “state of war” a day after Hamas’s attacks on October 7, 2023. The retaliation on Gaza put the city into ruins, while the area has been under complete blackout since.
Meanwhile, people trying to flee from the airport in Tel Aviv are stranded while seeking shelter as Hamas again launched missiles. This back-and-forth attack is just the beginning of unfolding the darkest side of humanity if an external entity does not interfere soon.
Instead, the influential power nations sent military aid to Israel, further perpetuating the war propaganda. On the other hand, Iran is allegedly funding Hamas to carry on the preposterous attacks.
And now, it seems like Israel is cutting off any ties by any means possible.
On October 12, 2023, about Day 6 of the Israel-Palestine war, a neighboring country, Syria, reported that Israel launched missiles that hit the two prominent airports at Damascus and Aleppo. This resulted in the suspension of operations at both air harbors. Israel has not responded to these reports yet. There is no confirmation to validate any sides as of now.
In other news, former Hamas leader Khaled Mashal declared October 13, 2023, the “Friday of the Al-Aqsa flood,” calling upon Muslims worldwide for global Jihad against Israelis.
Did Israel Bomb Syria Airport?
Here’s an analysis of why Israel would bomb Syria–
- As we mentioned earlier, there are unconfirmed speculations that Iran is funding Hamas. (Iran is the main queen protecting Palestine’s king).
- Other players (that are indirectly associated with the war) are the neighboring territories of Egypt (rook), Syria (Knight), and Jordan (Bishop).
- Now, Israel has a major hurdle with Iran’s interference. Hence, it is crucial for Israel to disarm Hamas by cutting off the supplies.
- But to stop Iran, Israel has to move past the Knight, i.e., Syria.
- Israel has waged a few attacks on Syria in the past as well.
- Here’s why Syria is the knight– Damascus and Aleppo airports handle civil aviation. These airports also host a military base that acts as a node for transporting Iranian arms to Hezbollah (a prominent militant group in Syria and Lebanon). There is no verification of this information.
- Reportedly, Iran’s foreign minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, was planning to fly to Syria yesterday.
- The alleged attacks on Syria begets a theory that Israel planned to stop the operations at the Syrian airports that would interrupt the meeting. We leave it up to you to decide.
As of writing this article, no confirmation has yet been reported on Syria’s claims that Israel targeted its airports. Also, no casualties have been reported from these attacks.
What is your inference on this? Do you think Israel has a strategy to dismantle Palestine’s support? Will this be the start of a collective war?
