Eminem has been in the music industry for two decades, and ever since his buzz about retiring has been speculating a lot of question marks. Is he retiring? Is this end of an era? With all these rumors, Eminem has finally broken his silence on the matter.
The rapper has constantly been targeted for having an early retirement or retiring soon but has now spoken himself about his leaving the industry. Thankfully, Eminem is not retiring anytime soon and will make music as long as he can.
He Loves Hip-Hop, Can’t Say When Will Retire
Eminem has been loved by all age groups, and the news of his retirement has made his fans sad. In an interview with Vibe, he was asked about his plans to say goodbye to the industry, and he said-
“I’m always going to love hip-hop. But how much longer am I going to still do it? I couldn’t give you an answer. But the day that this is not better than the last will probably be the day I stop.”
As many rappers take the time out to just relax, Eminem wants to keep going. There have been some instances in that the rapper opened up about the fact that he might never retire and will keep making music. He once mentioned in his MTV News interview that-
“I’m not retiring. When I say I’m taking a break, I’m taking a break from my music to go into the studio and produce my other artists and put their albums out. That’s called taking a break for me.”
Is It Now Time For Eninem To Retire?
The last album of Eminem came out around 2022, and since then, no new albums have been released yet. He has now mentioned that due to his anger issues, he takes time out but never thought of retiring. Eminem never officially announced that he would retire. He has constantly been giving music to the world but has also supported other artists too.
Due to his drug addiction issues, he developed anger problems which have also cost him his health. He had multiple surgeries that have got him off the stage and away from the public’s eye. His addiction has got most of his personal and professional life at stake.
Eminem has constantly been supporting young talents, and as rappers retire at a young age, he still holds his game in the music industry. He has tried out his hand in the film industry by starring in the movie “Bodied” and producing the soundtrack for a 2022 movie “Judas and the Black Messiah.” Eminem has also become a Philanthropist with the Marshall Mathers Foundation, which helps at-risk youth in his hometown of Detroit. Chances are that he might retire for some peace in helping youngsters.
Eminem had a great run in the industry and produced many records that are still unbroken. He now may wish to take a back seat and enjoy the fruits of his hard work. Whenever Eminem wishes to retire, his fans will be dishearted.
