Tabloids have a field day in covering his social appearances, as the charming CEO enchants everyone with his wit, humor, and politically incorrect statements. His MET Gala appearance with Ex-girlfriend Grimes put him on a pedestal of most presentable celebrities.

Netizens Spot Elon Musk’s Neck Scar
Soon after the interview, people quickly noticed a considerable scar on Musk’s neck. As concerning it was, they took to Twitter for answers.
This concern surfaced in 2020 as well, and Musk was pretty transparent in explaining his scar.
Debunking Speculations
Some netizens were hopping through possible theories. The most popular one revolved around his youthful appearance. Many believed he went under the knife for plastic surgeries and cosmetic enhancements. These rumors died down soon as he took to Twitter to deny any procedures.
Some also speculate that he inserted a chip to become half-humanoid. That was just ridiculous. This Iron Man theory never gained any magnetism.
As an advocate of truth-telling and no-nonsense, he discussed his surgery in great detail to debunk any rumors.
Elon Musk’s Neck Scar Explained: What Was the Surgery About?
The artificial disk installation is a recently FDA-approved treatment that allows free movement and restricts stress on the remaining vertebrae as opposed to traditional cervical surgery.
He had a Mobi-C disk inserted in C5-C6, but it was eventually considered a failure. The surgery couldn’t remove the entire bone spur, which would leave a pinching feeling in the vertebrae if untreated. He then went for a second surgery to rectify it. Even though this is a spinal cord surgery, the incision is done on the front of the neck— hence, the scar!
Elon Musk’s Surgery: What Could Have Been a Safer Alternative?
The artificial disk has several limitations, including restricted movement, displacement, and long-term issues. Experts believe that endoscopic spine surgery is a less invasive procedure to correct your spine and relieve muscle pain. Significant advantages of this surgery include:
- Less damage to the epidural blood supply and reduced scarring
- Minimal muscle trauma
- Lesser blood loss
- Early functional recovery
- Better cosmesis
- This procedure has been effectively proven for the past 16 years.
Nevertheless, he has since recuperated and is healthy enough for new innovations.
