Olivia Rodrigo is a young talent best known for her roles in Disney’s TV shows, Bizaardvark and High School Musical: The Series, but she’s even more popular for producing music.
In fact, she broke many records when she released the Drivers License single in 2021, which went on to become one of the best-selling songs of all time.
Over the past two years, she’s made several appearances on and off stage, including at USC, especially at the football game yesterday to support the USC Trojans. So, is Olivia Rodrigo studying at USC?
Yes. Olivia Rodrigo, the famous singer-songwriter, has been studying at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music since September 2022 as a visiting student. Apparently, she chose Music Production Class and Poetry, according to one of the students who shared it.
What Is Olivia Rodrigo Studying At USC, and When Did She Enroll in It?
Olivia Rodrigo is currently twenty years old, making it the perfect time to enjoy college days while looking forward to a great career, but her fame may not allow it that easily.
Regardless, to pursue greater options in her music career, she decided to enroll in USC’s Thornton School of Music in September 2022, and ever since, she has been pursuing a course in music production as well as poetry.
Back in September, when Rodrigo was taking a class at USC, a student posted a picture on social media, captioning, “No way I’m in class with Olivia, bruh.”
Around the same time, another one of her images related to her course was circulated in her fan communities, where it was disclosed that she enrolled as an undergraduate visitor with no unclassified major.
Apparently, she enrolled as a visiting student, meaning she could choose any individual course without actually selecting a major or participating in a degree program; thus, she picked a Music Production Class and also tried a Poetry course for a while.
While that incident went viral on social media, this Sunday, Olivia Rodrigo was seen at the USC Trojans football game, where, of course, they lost miserably against their rivals, UCLA Bruins, with a score of 38-20.
Since this was their fifth loss in the last six games, fans were disappointed, but the good thing was Olivia Rodrigo encouraged the team like a cheerleader from the sidelines, drawing quite a lot of attention.
Alongside thousands of viewers present at LA Memorial Coliseum, Rodrigo was spotted wearing the team’s signature red jersey with USC Band written on it, and she cheered the loudest by posing with her friends and fans.
Eventually, the video went viral on platforms such as X, and people began commenting, with some showing admiration for the singer and others being sarcastic over the loss of their favorite team.
Here are some notable reactions from the X users who didn’t take the loss very well:
In the end, despite the loss of the USC Trojans, Rodrigo’s presence lightened up the mood of several spectators, given the massive success she has attained at such a young age.
The singer is planning for her second tour in 2024, titled “Guts World Tour,” comprising 77 shows in various regions across Europe and North America, and she will perform her recently released album, Guts.
So, what do you think about Rodrigo’s presence at USC’s football match? Did you attend it yesterday?
