The first solution is to try and retrace your steps. This will allow you to find the cave you died in. Also, there should be an X on the map by the cave you died in.
As for the backpack, it will take some searching since many gamers are stating that the beam pointing toward it is small. So, you will probably have to light some torches to find the way.
Plenty of players are also requesting EPIC for a map of the caves. It remains to be seen whether the devs oblige us with that upgrade.
Overall, the system may seem simple, but it might take some time to become second nature, given that LEGO Fortnite offers a distinctively different experience compared to traditional battle royale games.
