Twitch streamers used to do all kinds of thrilling things on live to garner attention, from playing games with ridiculous conditions to gambling on various sites that provide viewers suspense without involving their money.

While Twitch has established some strict rules regarding gambling, many moved to Kick, which was backed by Stake (dot) com, a popular gambling platform that offers roulette games and slots to win money with a bit of risk.

xQc, also known as Felix Lengyel, is one of the most popular streamers among those who moved to Kick. On October 6, 2023, xQc announced that he had won a whopping $5 million in his gambling efforts and wouldn’t be doing it anymore to avoid losses. However, his subscribers are reluctant to accept xQc’s words, as gambling can be quite addictive.

So, did xQc really quit gambling? Let’s debunk the facts below.

Who Is xQc and Why Did He Quit Gambling?

“Nah I already withdrew my sh*t, I ain’t gambling no more.”

Felix Lengyel is an internet personality who initially rose to fame through his professional esports career, in which he played Overwatch in Overwatch League and Overwatch Cup.

However, eventually, he quit professional gaming and became a full-time streamer on Twitch, indulging in several intriguing streams related to gambling. These streams have awarded him with several sponsorships and brand deals.

xQc is without a doubt one of the top gambling streamers, who made around $550,000 on his first gambling stream after moving to Kick from Twitch due to their strict regulations regarding gambling.

It appears that he has so far made close to 800,000 bets, out of which only 10% of the bets were successful, meaning most of the time, he took losses ranging in thousands of dollars.

Perhaps due to these losses, the streamer has finally decided to quit gambling and announced it through his official X account on October 6, 2023.

“Nah, I already withdrew my sh*t. I ain’t gambling no more.”

These are the words the streamer tweeted, and after revealing a screenshot through his offline chat, his intention might be to cut out any losses that may arise if he kept going.

How Did Fans React to It?

Gambling is a tough addiction to beat, especially when you’re losing and winning money in thousands of dollars while still making money through streams.

In that sense, it might be impossible for xQc to quit gambling in the short run, and that’s precisely what fans think xQc would do.

Many of them took to X and commented that xQc would quit gambling for a while, but he will eventually return to it because it is addicting and offers good money with wagers.

Furthermore, seeing as how Kick is sponsored by Stake company, xQc may somehow go back to his old habits to please the platform and gain more followers.

That being said, it is entirely in the hands of xQc, and his final decision will determine whether he will quit gambling for good or relapse someday.

In any case, here are some notable reactions from fans who regularly watch his streams, especially those related to gambling.
