The lead of Pawn Stars, Rick Harrison, is alive and well at the time of writing.

The rumors about his death are fake. It’s possible that many are mistaking him for his son Adam, who, in a tragic turn of events, passed away on January 19, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at 39.

His death was attributed to a fentanyl overdose, shedding light on the pressing issue of the fentanyl crisis.

As per the NY Post, Rick Harrison confirmed this cause of death and emphasized the need for more significant action against the fentanyl problem.

On Instagram, Rick’s heartfelt tribute to his late son Adam showcased their close bond. He wrote, “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam.”

Despite Adam not appearing on the show, he was a cherished family member. Corey, Adam’s brother, shared an emotional childhood picture as a tribute, reminiscing about their time together.

Rick Harrison, known for his role in “Pawn Stars,” has a fascinating background.

The iconic Las Vegas Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, featured in the reality television series, was initially established by Rick’s father, Richard Harrison, in 1980. It evolved into the pawn shop we know today in 1988 under Rick’s management.

The show, which premiered on the History Channel in 2009, has been a huge success, significantly boosting the shop’s annual sales from $4 million to a staggering $20 million.

While Adam “Wax” Harrison didn’t make appearances on the show, he occasionally worked at the store.

The show also introduced Austin “Chumlee” Russell, a childhood friend of Corey Harrison. His close ties to the family and the shop made him a vital part of the series.
