Despite struggling with his serve in the late afternoon, Chris dug deep and managed to beat Stefanos by scores of 3-6, 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-4, and 6-4. It’s worth noting that Chris is the first African American male player to reach the last eight at SW19 in 27 years.

Although Eubanks had a 2-1 lead, Medvedev emerged victorious after five sets on No. 1 Court. It was a remarkable achievement for Medvedev as he reached the semifinals for the first time. Eubanks came close to becoming the third Wimbledon rookie in Open history to advance to the men’s semifinals. “I think this week, these two or three weeks have been filled with positives. I didn’t win today. I’m disappointed about it. It’s unfortunate for me. But I think I showed a lot of positive signs that I can take moving forward, so I’m okay with that,” Eubanks told at the press conference.
“I would say I definitely believe a lot more in my ability to contend with some of the best players in the world,” he added. “It’s tough to really know until you’ve played some of the best players in the world.”

His talent and hard work are clearly paying off, and it will be exciting to see how he performs in the rest of the tournament.
