Revealed: Did Jimin Help Other Soldiers Connect With Their Families?
Jimin and Jungkook graduated from their military training on January 17, 2024, and started their active service on January 18, coincidentally joining their colleague Jin.
On January 18, a Twitter account, @DawnieJiminie, shared a translation of a post by a person’s brother who served alongside Jimin.
The person praised Jimin for his kindness, mentioning that Jimin often bought extra food for his comrades and sacrificed his cell phone time so that others could connect with their friends and family.
Here’s the quote:
“My brother always talked about Jimin helping him and others in need, always buying him extra food whenever he could to the convenience store, and giving up his cell phone time to help a few of his teammates spend time with friends, family, and loved ones. I was able to talk to people.”
This act of selflessness left a deep impression on the person and his soldier brother, who expressed gratitude for Jimin’s support.
The person further revealed that Jimin had helped their brother with his studies, leading to him graduating in the top ten of his class.
During the graduation ceremony on January 17, the soldier’s parents went to Jimin and his parents to thank them for their politeness and assistance. He wrote:
“Thanks to Jimin, my younger brother graduated in the top 10 of his class. Because of all this, my parents went to Jimin and his parents and thanked them for being so polite. When I saw Jimin in person, he was really funny, he was tall and handsome, and his smile was really kind. The parents of other recruits also expressed their gratitude to Jimin, and Jimin seemed touched by everything.”
The parents of other recruits also expressed their gratitude to Jimin, leaving a lasting impression on the BTS idol.
In South Korea, every non-disabled man must complete mandatory military service for 18 to 21 months.
During the five-week basic training period, recruits are allowed one hour of phone time on weekends and holidays to connect with their families and loved ones, as per updated military rules in July 2023.
The BTS member’s sacrifice of his phone time to help his comrades have longer conversations touched the hearts of fans.
BTS fans, known as the ARMY, took to Twitter to express their admiration for Jimin’s selflessness, calling him an angel and heaven-sent.
This heartwarming story of Jimin’s kindness added to the list of instances where he has shown care and consideration for those around him.
On January 17, Jimin completed his basic military training. Additionally, Jimin received a merit award from the division commander during the graduation ceremony for ranking first among all trainees.
While Jimin’s military service is ongoing, fans can also look forward to his potential solo projects.
Speculation suggests that Jimin may release a second solo album in 2024, although there hasn’t been an official announcement from HYBE. Fans eagerly await further updates on Jimin’s musical endeavors.
What do you think about Jimin’s selfless act? Some people believe that sharing a phone is a normal thing to help someone with, and he shouldn’t necessarily be celebrated for it. Do you agree with this?
