Growing cases of sudden cardiac arrest are not only alarming but also have made fans concerned about the overall health of their favorite players. While Bronny, son of LeBron James, was fortunate enough, the fate of other young sportsmen in the past has been terrifying.
Did Bronny James Die?
No. Fortunately, the 18 year old alive and pretty much in a stable condition as of now. After sustaining a sudden cardiac arrest, Bronny was saved from the horrific incident, as he was rushed to a hospital in a timely manner.
However, it is important to note that sudden cardiac arrest is not the same as a heart attack. A cardiac arrest is a problem with the heart’s electrical system; on the other hand, a heart attack affects the plumbing of the heart. Although both are equally life-threatening, prompt medical assistance has been proven life-saving in many cases.
One of the most acclaimed athletes in the country coming out of Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles, Bronny James, decided to take up the footsteps of his father, legendary LeBron James. Bronny’s decision to attend USC made his father immensely proud; in his senior year of high school, he averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.7 steals. He then joined a USC squad that was attempting to make the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in a row.
But the news of his sudden illness has sent shock waves across the sports fraternity.

It was on Monday while practicing at USC’s Galen Center in Los Angeles when Bronny was rushed to the hospital, as informed by his family, after a sudden collapse.
It was informed later that the 18-year-old had suffered cardiac arrest and was given medical assistance in the ICU. Fortunately, as we speak now, he is stable and is no longer in the ICU.
What has baffled many is that the young lad in his teens has suffered a cardiac arrest, even though he is at the peak of his health and fitness. Many admirers of the young athlete even expressed their concern as they wished to seek more info on it. However, his family has not provided any official statement on the same.
His family gave out a statement earlier, giving an update on his health and also requesting fans to respect his privacy in this critical time.
“Yesterday, while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. The medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update the media when there is more information.
LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes,” his family shared.
