Have you heard of The Summer I Turned Pretty? It’s a TV series based on a book series by the talented novelist Jenny Han.
The show follows Isabel “Belly” Conklin as she navigates a love triangle with Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher, who happen to be the sons of her mother’s best friend. Sounds like a captivating story, doesn’t it?
What was more interesting is the main lead, Belly, ended up with Conrad at the end of season one, but to fans’ surprise, the two aren’t a thing anymore at the start of season 2.
This did not only make fans curious about what went wrong with their perfect-looking relationship, but it also made them question their overall equation throughout the series.
Did Belly and Conrad Sleep Together?
Yes. Belly does lose her virginity to Conrad. in season one. But this is only revealed in season two as a flashback to the viewers.
In another flashback in season 2, episode 2, viewers learn that Belly and Conrad slept together. In the second episode of the story, Belly and Conrad spend a lovely winter evening together at Cousins Beach.
Unfortunately, things take a sad turn for their budding romance, as Conrad abruptly bread up with Belly at the prom night. Interestingly, in the second half of the novel, Belly and Conrad never slept together in the first place, which differs from the book’s adaptation.
Does Belly End Up With Conrad In the Book?
Yes. Belly and Conrad eventually end up together in the book after a tumultuous, on-and-off relationship throughout the years.
So, in the novel, Belly and Conrad have a bit of a rough patch when she finds out he only went to prom with her because of his ill mother. She then starts dating Jeremiah, but their relationship ends when she discovers that he cheated on her. Heartbroken, Belly goes on a study-abroad trip to Spain. In the end, Conrad starts writing her love notes, and they rekindle their romance, eventually getting married.
Jeremiah, on the other hand, doesn’t end up with Taylor either.
The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Schedule
