So you can enjoy the patched-up game already! But what improvements have been made?
Here are the additions that have been made-
New Features:
One of the standout features in Patch 2.1 is the resolution of V’s issue with their NCART City Pass.
Players can now freely travel between the 19 metro stations scattered throughout Night City using fast travel or by riding the train, providing a unique opportunity to gaze out of the window and immerse themselves in the bustling cyberpunk world.
Furthermore, V can invite their love interest to spend time together in any of the game’s apartments. These “Hangouts” are repeatable events available once a character’s romance path has concluded, adding depth to the relationships players can forge.
The introduction of the Radioport feature allows players to listen to the radio while on foot or riding the NCART train.
This feature seamlessly switches to the car radio when entering a vehicle and provides volume control directly within the radio window.
Car enthusiasts can now look forward to replayable car races after completing “The Beast in Me” quest.
These races offer the thrill of competition and the chance to earn eddies and discounts for the Autofixer website. The update also promises improved AI for racers, enhancing the overall racing experience.
For those who appreciate Night City’s breathtaking vistas, sightseeing binoculars have been strategically placed throughout the city, providing another way to admire the game’s stunning scenery.
Quests & Open World:
The patch introduces exciting changes to quests and the open world of Night City.
V may now find themselves pursued by gangs if they take an aggressive approach during specific gigs and main quests. Gigs that involve stealing and delivering vehicles can escalate into thrilling car chases and combat sequences.
Functional decorative vendors can now be found in some kiosks, offering players a more immersive experience. Additionally, players can sit at various bars in Night City and interact with vendors, further enhancing the city’s lively atmosphere.
Patch 2.1 addresses several quest-related issues, ensuring a smoother gaming experience. It fixes instances where some gigs wouldn’t trigger, resolves problems with quest progression, and ensures that quest-related characters and objects spawn correctly.
Vehicles & Traffic:
The patch opens up a previously closed-off highway spanning multiple districts in Night City, providing players with new opportunities for exploration and high-speed chases.
Moreover, players can now lean while riding bikes, introducing a new level of control and realism to bike gameplay. Five new bikes and the iconic Porsche 911 Cabriolet have been added to the game, offering players a broader selection of vehicles.
The introduction of a “Favorite” feature for marking vehicles enhances the Call Vehicle menu’s usability. Additionally, players can now throw knives and axes while riding bikes, adding a dynamic element to combat on two wheels.
Patch 2.1 also brings full support for the PS5 DualSense controller to the game’s PC version, further enhancing the gaming experience for those who prefer a controller.
Accessibility:
The update includes options for a more extensive interface font and the ability to disable the timer in the Breach Protocol minigame. A new Accessibility tab consolidates various settings, including Difficulty, Subtitles, and certain Controls and Interface options.
A noteworthy addition is the “Weapon Cycling to Arm Cyberware” setting, which enables players to choose whether arm cyberware should cycle along with equipped weapons. This empowers players to customize their gameplay experience to their preferences.
Gameplay:
The update brings significant gameplay improvements. Boss fights with Yasha Ivanov, Boris Ribakov, and Adam Smasher have been enhanced. Smasher now has the ability to activate Sandevistan, making these encounters more challenging and dynamic.
Cyberware Capacity costs have been adjusted for various enhancements, making it easier for players to optimize their character builds.
Crafted weapons can now have up to two mod slots, improving customization options for players. The drop rate of mods from enemies has been increased, and weapon mods may now appear in containers that previously held only Crafting Components.
Players can carry more ammo of all types in their inventory, providing greater flexibility in combat scenarios. Cyberware Capacity Shards will now drop properly for players who have reached the maximum level, ensuring fair progression.
As the final major update for the game, it signals a positive step forward for Cyberpunk 2077, marking the culmination of ongoing efforts to refine and polish this ambitious RPG.
Players can now dive back into Night City with renewed excitement, ready to explore the cyberpunk world in all its glory.
