So, Boushoku No Berserk, also known as Berserk of Gluttony, has released many details regarding its release date, plot, cast, and trailer. Let’s explore each of them in detail below.
Berserk of Gluttony Plot
The series, based on a successful light novel of the same name released in 2017, follows Fate, a castle gatekeeper who feels constantly hungry thanks to his special skill obtained upon birth.
He always thought that skill was useless as it didn’t do anything apart from making him hungrier with the constant increase in appetite every time it was triggered. However, one fine day, he discovered what it is truly capable of.
When he kills a thief sneaking into the castle, his skill involuntarily activates and feeds on the victim’s soul, taking away all of his powers. With newfound power, Fate is determined to rise to the top and strike fear in those individuals who have treated him like trash all his life.
Berserk of Gluttony Trailer
The official YouTube channel of Muse Asia has revealed the Main Promotional Video for the Berserk of Gluttony anime, which in and of itself serves as a trailer.
As you can see from the trailer above, the animation looks pretty decent with a typical fantasy ambiance as well as an overpowering MC who devours his enemies with his unique skill, Gluttony.
Furthermore, the character designs are flawless, with Eris, Roxy, and Myne looking absolutely gorgeous, while Fate himself is pretty badass.

Berserk of Gluttony Anime Release Date
The anime was initially announced in October 2022 regarding the adaptation of the light novel. It is scheduled to be released on October 4, 2023, with episodes airing on a weekly basis until it concludes the first season.
The number of episodes is yet to be disclosed, but it is estimated that the first season could have around 12 episodes, given it is the norm for many fantasy anime shows with the exception of certain titles such as The Rising of the Shield Hero.
