They suggested that Lesnar might be the “WWE Superstar” and “former UFC Heavyweight Champion” linked to a s*x trafficking lawsuit filed against none other than WWE supremo Vince McMahon.
It turns out that Lesnar was allegedly linked to this lawsuit through a former WWE employee named Janel Grant.
She claimed that McMahon tried to set up a s*xual encounter between her and a WWE superstar who happened to be a heavyweight champion in UFC – allegedly none other than Brock Lesnar himself.
Wall Street Journal went all-in and pointed its finger at the Beast Incarnate. As if this wasn’t enough drama, Dave Meltzer had more to spill than a clumsy waiter. He revealed (via Yahoo):
“I think most people know this, but Brock Lesnar was scheduled to return at the Rumble, and this was a change, obviously, that was made because of the lawsuit.”
With Lesnar’s unexpected exit, WWE had to call in a replacement. Rising star Bron Breakker stepped up to the plate and essentially took over Lesnar’s role.
He entered the Royal Rumble at No.20, eliminated four wrestlers in five minutes, and then met the same fate himself. But what about Lesnar? Will he return? According to Dave Meltzer:
“It appears that Brock Lesnar is not going to be around for a while. Some people think ever.”
The report even raises the unsettling possibility that we might have seen the last of the Beast Incarnate in WWE.
Initially, WWE had plans for Lesnar to participate in the men’s Royal Rumble match and then face Dominik Mysterio at WWE Elimination Chamber.
However, these plans went south faster than a snowbird in winter. Lesnar’s alleged involvement in the Vince McMahon allegations led to his withdrawal from both events.
With Lesnar out of the picture, Dominik Mysterio found himself thrust into the spotlight.
This turn of events hinted at a potential feud between Mysterio and Lesnar, culminating in a match at Elimination Chamber in Australia. Unfortunately, creative plans were scrapped faster than a bad movie remake.
